Description
Wox the Fox, internally referred to as just Wox, is the final boss of Pizza Party.
Wox the Fox has a slow speed but a high amount of health. When the Lost Souls modifier is active, its health is increased by an additional 25,000. It is also immune to being frozen by freezing towers, slowed down by the Toxic Gunner, confused by the Jester, knocked back, slowed down by the DJ Booth and damaged by the Nuke's fallout damage. Additionally, it can only be slowed down by stunning towers like the Electroshocker and Warden instead of being stunned.
Wox the Fox has four abilities. Its first, Game Over, makes it jumpscare the player, temporarily reducing the range of all towers by 50% and deals 400 damage to units. Before this jumpscare, the screen will zoom in, and there will be a vignette around the screen. It only happens when Wox the Fox first spawns and reaches half health. Its second, Birthday Surprise, makes it take out a birthday cake and throw it into the air, which falls onto its hat, breaking into multiple smaller pieces. These pieces go up into the air and then fall down onto the map, which, upon landing, creates a shockwave that stuns any tower caught in it and deals 500 damage to units. Its third, Coin Gun, makes it shoot out multiple coins from its left mechanical hand at towers, which upon landing create shockwaves that stun any tower caught in them and deal 500 damgae to units. Its fourth, Melody Shock, makes it play its guitar, creating a shockwave that stuns towers in a wide area. It also creates white lightning bolts, which also stun towers and deals 500 damage to units.
Appearance
Wox the Fox is a large fox animatronic with its left arm replaced with a mechanical cannon. It has many parts making up its main body, with some parts being left barren, revealing Wox the Fox's endoskeleton. As it receives damage, it will start to slowly lose all its parts, exposing its endoskeleton entirely. Wox the Fox's body parts are colored blue and white, with its endoskeleton being grey. It wears a black top hat and tie. Its pupils also have a red outline.
If Lost Souls is active, Wox the Fox will appear without its fur parts, instead spawning fully in its endoskeleton appearance.
Wox the Fox has a death animation where it kneels forward, emit sparks, and then powers down.
Strategy
- Wox the Fox cannot be slowed down by most towers.
- The Electroshocker and Warden can only slow down Wox the Fox instead of stunning it. The Warden can also only stun it for a shorter amount of time due to its large size.
- It is also immune to being frozen by the Freezer, Frost Blaster and Sledger, due to its freeze immunity.
- However, the Frost Blaster and Sledger can be useful against the enemies that appear before Wox the Fox.
- The Toxic Gunner cannot slow this down as it is immune to its slowing effect. It can, however, be useful against the enemies that appear before it.
- The Jester cannot confuse Wox the Fox, but it can slow it down with its ice bombs.
- High DPS towers, such as Accelerators, Turrets, Engineers, Golden Minigunners and Rangers are recommended to defeat Wox the Fox. These towers should be boosted by the Commander and DJ Booth.
- The Ranger is immune to stuns from Wox the Fox's abilities, making it very useful against it.
- If you are using the Gatling Gun against Wox the Fox, you should note that it has a broken hitbox, meaning hitting most parts of its model in FPS mode will have the Gatling Gun not deal damage to it. To damage Wox the Fox in FPS mode consistently, you should aim at Wox the Fox's feet.
- When dealing with Wox the Fox in a match with Lost Souls active, the Golden Minigunner is the most optimal tower against it.
- Make sure to sell any Farms to maximize the number of towers attacking Wox the Fox. They do not produce any income anymore, count towards your tower limit, and can be replaced by a more useful tower.
- The Cowboy and Golden Cowboy can still produce income, so you can keep them if you need more cash for your towers. However, this is generally not necessary, as you will get a lot of cash from damaging enemies and Wox the Fox itself.
- Because of this, you can also sell your Cowboys or Golden Cowboys at later waves, if you can place down any other high DPS towers.
- The Cowboy and Golden Cowboy can still produce income, so you can keep them if you need more cash for your towers. However, this is generally not necessary, as you will get a lot of cash from damaging enemies and Wox the Fox itself.
- The DJ Booth can be used to partially mitigate the effects of Wox the Fox's range debuff.
- It can also be useful for increasing your tower's range and decreasing its upgrade costs.
- You can also try to replace your towers after the Game Over ability, though this is not necessary.
- The Medic can be quite useful at cleansing stuns from your towers.
- Do note that the Medic's Revive ability cannot be used to cleanse the range debuff. The ability's range is also affected by the debuff.
- Defense-dropping towers can be used to decrease Wox the Fox's defense when the Lost Souls modifier is active. However, due to you only being able to pick one tower of your choice to activate the Lost Souls modifier, this is not recommended.
