- "Its good.
Beautiful towers are weapons.
We are not against evil, we are not against evil." - ―Commander dialogue on Wave 35 (Translated Fallen)
Description
The Warden is an enemy that appears in Hardcore mode and in special maps. It has very high health and high defense but an average speed. It has one ability, where it fires a blue laser from its chest to stun towers in a wide area. The Warden also has the stun immunity, which prevents the Warden and Electroshocker from stunning it, slowing it down instead and preventing knockback towers like the Brawler from knocking it back.
Appearance
The Warden is a large humanoid entity with a waist in its rig. It has a dark blue skin color and the ends of its limbs are covered in a cyan fluid. It has an energy pack on its back with an antenna that emits yellow sparks along with six batteries connected to it. Its chest has a gaping cavity, revealing its rib cage and a pink cube inside, which emits light blue particles. It has red wounds that span horizontally across the chest cavity.
Strategy
- Like all other tanky enemies, high DPS towers like the Accelerator or Minigunner should be used to take the Warden down.
- The Warden's Heartfelt Laser ability can easily kill units with lower health, such as the Gunner Elf or Tommy Goon 2, as it deals damage to units.
- The Military Base's units deal full collision damage to the Warden, regardless of its defense, making them quite useful.
- Do note that their ranged damage is still decreased.
- It is recommended to place your towers away from the path to avoid getting stunned by the Warden's Heartfelt Laser ability.
- It may be viable to have a cheap distraction tower, like a Level 0 Commander, to distract the Warden's Heartfelt Laser from your main offensive towers.
- When the Warden spawns, it will not use its Heartfelt Laser ability for a few seconds. Use this period of time to defeat the Warden before it can stun any towers.
- The Medic can be used to cleanse towers of the Warden's stun with its Revive ability.
- Do note that this will be ineffective while the Warden is still firing its Heartfelt Laser, as the towers will be continuously stunned until the ability is over.
- The Gladiator's stun blocking is ineffective against the Warden, as the first stun will be blocked, but not any subsequent stuns from the continuous Heartfelt Laser.
- Stalling towers like the Cryomancer, Electroshocker, Warden, Brawler or Freezer can be used to slow down the Warden.
- The Brawler is immune to stuns by default, making it a great option to knock back the Warden.
- However, because of its large size, freezing towers and the Warden will slow it down for a shorter amount of time.
- Additionally, the Warden and Electroshocker can only slow it down instead of stunning it because of its stun immunity while knockback towers like the Brawler cannot knock it back.
- Do note that the Warden will not stop using its Heartfelt Laser ability when frozen or stunned.
- Defense dropping towers like the Pyromancer, Jester or Freezer can help to reduce the Warden's defense.

Trivia
- This enemy is based on the Warden from Minecraft.
- The Warden's Heartfelt Laser ability is also inspired from the Sonic Boom attack of Minecraft's Warden.
- The Commander improperly mentions this enemy as the Templar, as this dialogue is reused from Fallen mode.
- Furthermore, the Commander incorrectly states that the Warden uses a minigun instead of its laser beam to attack towers.
- Its Heartfelt Laser ability's hitbox is slightly shorter than where the laser displays.
- The Templar uses a slightly modified model of the Warden.
