Description

v1.37.0 is the ninetieth update to be released in Tower Defense Simulator, on the 23rd of October 2024.

This update was also given the name Hexscape Update, as this update added the Hexscape Event.

This update encompassed four updates, the main v1.37.0 update (released 23 October 2024) and three minor updates, the v1.37.1 (released 23 October 2024), the v1.37.2 (released 23 October 2024) the v1.37.3 (released 24 October 2024).

Towers

  • Slasher reworked.
    • Slasher now applies a bleed debuff to enemies.
      • This stacks with every hit, only dealing damage when it is not being dealt damage. Explodes upon reaching max stacks.
      • Damage is based on an enemy's max health, using the Slasher's base bleed damage and EV.
    • Knife Throw removed.
    • Now deals critical hits every third hit. Boosted damage depends on the critical damage multiplier.
    • Placement limit of 12 added.

        • Renamed from Knife Party to Swords Dance.

        • Range decreased from +1 to +0.5.

        • Renamed from Contract Killer to Serial Killer.
  • Slasher is now available through a limited time gamepass for Robux 749.
  • Mercenary Base rebalanced.
    • Placement limit is now 3 regardless of player count.

  • Golden Crook Boss nerfed.
  • Units that stop moving to attack enemies, such as Tommy Goons or Rifleman, now need to find space that is not currently occupied by other units to stop moving.

  • Updated UI.
    • Tower loadout now uses the same UI as during matches.
    • Moved buttons at the bottom of the screen to the right side.
    • Coin Coins and Gem Gems are now listed on the right instead of the top.
    • Added party members next to the play survival button.
    • Robux Shop gamepasses section now has two larger displays at the top.
    • Rewards no longer displays information about Seasons and map triumphs.
    • Matchmaking icon at the top of the match type selection now uses the party icon.
    • User invite UI for parties changed, now it displays users in boxes instead of a list. Additionally, if there is no one to invite, friends will be displayed instead.
    • Updated level UI.
    • Updated base health bar and all information listed alongside it.
    • Wave text now changes color at the final wave.
    • Overhauled Seasons UI, now called Battle Passes.
    • Overhauled news feed UI.
    • Some unit lifespans are now displayed under their health.

    • Main matchmaking menu now can be opened with X button/Square button in the lobby.
    • Left stick is now used to run.
    • D-pad can no longer be used to move in some menus, now its only the right stick or the game menu toggle.
    • D-pad up now opens/closes the sticker wheel, previously nothing could open it.
    • D-pad down now opens/closes the emote wheel, previously nothing could open it.
    • D-pad right now opens/closes the leaderboards.
    • A button/Cross button can now be used to select more things, such as map overriding, though the Right trigger/R2 button can still be used for some actions.
    • Left trigger/L2 button can now be used to swap hotbars.
    • Left trigger/L2 button can now be used to rotate towers.
    • Towers can no longer be upgraded using A button/Cross button.
    • Towers can no longer be sold using X button/Square button.
    • Selecting a tower no longer makes the camera move around it. Changing selected tower with left stick is also now no longer possible
  • Updated loading screen to be Halloween themed.
  • Towers now rotate by 45 degrees instead of 90 degrees.
  • Blood modifier updated.
  • Blood is now green for players under the age of 13.
  • XP Boost description changed from "It's the weekend! You will get double the experience." to "Enjoy a boost to your earned EXP!".
  • Optimized the cutscene system.
  • Server size decreased from 45 to 30 in the lobby.
  • Dialog with voice acting now lowers background music volume.
  • Automatically all unclaimed Seasons rewards from the Gift Box.
  • Dialogue is now affected by Time Scale.
  • Fixed towers not having animations on the Triumph screen, as all of them except Ace Pilot and Gatling Gun were broken.
  • Fixed Commander narrator using an outdated model.
  • Fixed inventory, veto and start buttons not disappearing when in the inventory.
  • Fixed Bullet Trails setting not working.
  • Fixed Show Tower Pets and Equip Tower Pets settings not appearing.
  • Fixed consumable accessories.
  • Fixed tower boundary circles.
  • Fixed players in chat that are verified no longer have double checkmarks.
