Description

v1.29.0 is the eighty-third update to be released in Tower Defense Simulator, on the 28th of August 2024.

This update encompassed seven versions, the main v1.29.0 update (released 28 August 2024), and six minor updates, the v1.29.1 (released 28 August 2024), v1.29.2 (released 28 August 2024), v1.29.3 (released 28 August 2024), v1.29.4 (released 28 August 2024), v1.29.5 (released 29 August 2024) and v1.29.6 (released 29 August 2024).

Changes & Bugfixes

  • DJ Booth reworked.
    • Now has a selection of tracks, which provide different buffs to towers.
      • Changing tracks has a 15 second cooldown.
    • Changing music now makes the new music start at the time mark the previous ended on.
    • Now mutes all other music when player's camera is close to it.
    • Updated range visuals.
    • Placement footprint size increased from 1.5 to 2.5.
    • Statistical changes:
      • Base
        • Cost increased from Cash (Gameplay Currency)$600 to Cash (Gameplay Currency)$1,200.
        • Range decreased from 15 to 12.
        • Range Buff increased from 10% to 12.5%, but is now only active if the purple track is selected.
        • Discount Buff increased from 0% to 5%, but is now only active if the green track is selected.
      • Level 1
        • Range increased from +2 to +3.
      • Level 2
        • Cost increased from Cash (Gameplay Currency)$850 to Cash (Gameplay Currency)$1,250.
        • Range Buff changed from 10% > 15% to 12.5% > 15%.
        • Discount Buff changed from 0% to 5% > 7.5%.
        • Unlocks a red track which provides a 10% Damage Buff.
      • Level 3
        • Cost increased from Cash (Gameplay Currency)$2,500 to Cash (Gameplay Currency)$3,000.
        • Range Buff changed from 15% to 15% > 17.5%.
        • Discount Buff changed from 0% > 10% to 7.5% > 10%.
        • Damage Buff increase of 10% > 12.5% added.
        • Drop the Beat ability added, with a 30s cooldown.
        • Purple track Drop the Beat ability added:
          • Three pulses added.
          • 1.5 cooldown for pulses added.
          • Applies knockback and slowdown to enemies.
          • Knockback force of 20 added.
          • Base slowness of 20% added.
          • Slowness per tower of 1% added.
          • Max slowness of 40% added.
        • Green track Drop the Beat ability added:
          • Base cash of Cash (Gameplay Currency)$250 added.
          • Cash per tower of Cash (Gameplay Currency)$35 added.
          • Max cash of Cash (Gameplay Currency)$600 added.
        • Red track Drop the Beat ability added:
          • Three pulses added.
          • 1.5 cooldown for pulses added.
          • Damage increased from +0 to +15.
          • Lead detection added.
          • Base defense drop of 5% added.
          • Defense drop per tower of 1% added.
          • Max defense drop of 25% added.

        • Cost increased from Cash (Gameplay Currency)$4,000 to Cash (Gameplay Currency)$8,000.
        • Range increased from +0 to +1.5.
        • Range Buff changed from 15% > 25% to 17.5% > 22.5%.
        • Knockback force increase of +2.5 added.
        • Max hits increase of +1 added.
        • Slowness time change of 6 > 8 added.
        • Discount Buff changed from 10% to 10% > 12.5%.

        • Damage Buff increase of 12.5% > 15% added.
        • Damage increased from +0 to +10.
          • Base defense drop change of 5% > 7% added.

        • Cost increased from Cash (Gameplay Currency)$9,000 to Cash (Gameplay Currency)$20,000.
        • Now applies all buffs even if the track is not active, but it does not have the full buff power.
        • Range Buff changed from 25% > 35% to 22.5% > 25%.
        • Knockback force decrease of -2.5 added.
        • Max hits increase of +1 added.
        • Slowness time change of 8 > 10 added.
        • Base slowness increase of 20% > 30% added.
        • Max slowness increase of 40% > 50% added.
        • Pulses increased from +0 to +1.
        • Discount Buff changed from 10% > 20% to 12.5% > 15%.
        • Base cash increase of Cash (Gameplay Currency)$500 > Cash (Gameplay Currency)$750 added.
        • Cash per tower increase of Cash (Gameplay Currency)$50 > Cash (Gameplay Currency)$75 added.

        • Damage increased from +0 to +25.
          • Base defense drop change of 7% > 10% added.
  • Updated matchmaking UI when playing through the PLAY SURVIVAL button.
    • First menu shows three mode types, Hardcore mode, survival and special modes.
    • Second menu, if available, shows the available modes.
    • Third menu shows the available player counts.
  • Optimized UI rendering for lobby and shop.
  • Optimized rendering for the player list.
  • Optimized culling for tower pets and nametags.
  • Optimized tower pets.
  • Disabled statue collisions.
  • 2D richtext no longer updates.
  • In the mode vote, Intermediate mode no longer has a "[NEW]" text under it.
  • Fixed towers not receiving buffs if they were placed at a high height. Tower passive buffs now will ignore tower height.
  • Fixed using Time Scale before other players joined, now when another player joins it will be set to 1x.
  • Fixed Time Scale making time jump forward if set to 0x for a few seconds, and then set to a different speed.
  • Fixed the Ace Pilot being upside down in the Daily Store.
  • Fixed matchmaking not showing icons for towers when a match has been found.
