Description

The Turret is an advanced tower with long range and high damage. It cannot be purchased from the store, instead unlocked at Level 50 or via its gamepass, priced at Robux 450. When the player reaches Level 50, the Turret can be claimed using the pop up message that appears when joining the lobby or through Rewards.

The Turret excels at single target damage, boasting a strong mix of high range, damage and firerate. However, it is also very expensive. It costs Cash (Gameplay Currency)$6,000 to place it down, the most expensive starting cost for any tower. It takes a cumulative total of Cash (Gameplay Currency)$105,500 to reach the max level, making it the second most expensive tower to fully upgrade in the entire game. As the Turret is not a humanoid tower, it is immune to debuffs which appear as icons on the tower. Debuffs from enemies like the Boomer can still affect it. However, if the XR500 skin is applied, it loses its debuff immunity, as the skin has a humanoid. Additionally, it has a larger placement footprint than most other towers. It can detect hidden enemies and has lead detection.

Because of its extremely high base cost and very expensive upgrade prices, as well as high DPS, the Turret is considered a mid-late game tower.

The Turret has a placement limit of three per player.

Strategy

  • The Turret has one of the most expensive starting costs for a tower, so it is impractical for early game.
    • For early-game, using cheaper towers is recommended.
    • Using the Farm will allow you to place a Turret earlier.
  • The Turret gains hidden detection at Level 1 and lead detection at Level 2, making it useful against enemies with these properties that appear in mid and late-game.
  • The Turret has a larger placement footprint than other towers, so be aware of the space that it takes up.
  • It is highly recommended to pair the Turret with the DJ Booth to decrease its extremely expensive upgrades.
    • It can also be helpful at increasing its already large range.
  • The Turret is immune to debuffs applied by most enemies. This includes the Soul Stealer's firerate debuff or the Gunslinger's range debuff. However, this does not include the Boomer or Necrotic Skeleton's debuffs as they do not apply an icon to the tower.
    • The Soul Stealer also cannot spawn a Soul from it, as the firerate debuff is never applied.
    • However, this is not the case for the XR500. As it is a humanoid, it can have debuffs applied to it.

Trivia

  • The Turret is the most expensive tower to place down, beating the Ranger by Cash (Gameplay Currency)$1,500, the Accelerator by Cash (Gameplay Currency)$1,000 and the Gatling Gun by Cash (Gameplay Currency)$250.
  • The Turret has the second most expensive individual upgrade cost, with Level 5 upgrade having a cost of Cash (Gameplay Currency)$56,250, only being beaten by the Gatling Gun with its Level 5 upgrade cost at Cash (Gameplay Currency)$60,000 and Level 6 upgrade cost at Cash (Gameplay Currency)$100,000.
    • The Turret is also the second most expensive tower to fully upgrade in the game having a cost of Cash (Gameplay Currency)$105,500, only being beaten by the Gatling Gun having a cost of Cash (Gameplay Currency)$227,750.
  • Although the Level 4 upgrade icon shows an explosive warhead, the Turret cannot deal splash damage at any level.
  • Strangely, the Void Reaver can still spawn a Soul from the Turret, which is not a humanoid tower unless the XR500 skin is equipped.
    • The Soul Stealer cannot spawn a soul from the Turret unless it is the XR500 Turret. The Soul Stealer and legacy Fallen Soul also can only increase the firerate of the XR500 Turret, but not any other skins.
  • The Turret has a unique placement and upgrade sound.
