- "Watch your step.. Place various traps on the path to damage and stun enemies!"
- ―Store Description
Description
The Trapper is an intermediate tower that can be bought for 3,000. It places down various traps on the ground, which when they come in contact with an enemy, the traps damage it in various ways or apply debuffs to them. All traps can damage Hidden enemies, damage Lead enemies and bypass defense. When there are no enemies in range, the Trapper will lay its traps randomly, but if there is an enemy within range the Trapper will target it by laying its traps directly at the enemy. It takes it 0.5 seconds to throw a trap, with the thrown traps having a velocity of 15. The only exception is when it is set to Random. Although a random enemy will still be highlighted when the Trapper is selected, the Trapper will lay its traps randomly and not at the highlighted enemy. There is a 10 second cooldown before a trap can be changed again.
There are three types of traps that the Trapper can place down. The first is the spike trap, which is available from Level 0. Spike traps have a set amount of health, which when decreased to zero will make them disappear. This trap can hit as many enemies as long as it still has health. This trap can also deal more damage than its health, as the damage it deals is separate from its health. For example, if a spike trap has 1 health out of 60 left, an enemy that steps on it will receive the full 25 damage, if its health is at least 25. Spike traps get smaller as their health gets lower.
The second type is the landmine, which is unlocked at Level 2. When an enemy steps on it, it will quickly explode, dealing splash damage to all enemies caught in its explosion and applying burn.
The third and last trap is the bear trap, which is unlocked at Level 4. This trap, unlike the two previous traps, only deals damage to a single enemy. However, it deals higher damage than the other two traps and additionally stuns the enemy it hits for 3 seconds.
Each trap has a lifespan before disappearing. This lifespan will reset once it is used, however, as all of them except spike trap disappear on a single hit, this has little use for most of the traps.
The Trapper is considered an all-rounder tower as its cheap cost allows it to be used in the early game, while later on its upgraded traps deal immense damage to crowds and have great supporting utility.
The Trapper has a placement limit of seven per player.

Strategy
- As it takes a long time for the Trapper to place down its traps, it is generally recommended to place the tower in the back, where it has more time to pile up traps.
- The Commander can also be used to decrease the Trapper's firerate, allowing it to place down more traps quicker.
- The Trapper's spikes can be very useful early on at dealing with both hordes of weaker enemies such as the Abnormal, though due to their low damage they are not effective against higher health enemies like the Normal Boss until later upgrades or when upgraded.
- It is generally best to place down multiple Level 1 or 2 Trappers early on because of their cost efficiency.
- Landmines can be quite useful at clearing out hordes of high health enemies, because of their high damage, them setting enemies on fire and their ability to ignore defense.
- Bear traps only deal damage to a single enemy, meaning that it should generally only be used for high health enemies.
- It is best to set the Trapper's targeting to Strongest, as it means that the bear traps are less likely hit enemies with lower health.
- Additionally, the bear traps stun enemies for three seconds, making them quite effective at stalling enemies.
- If an enemy has stun immunity or is a boss enemy, it will not be stunned but only slowed down instead.
- When the Trapper is set to Random, it will not target a random enemy ā it will instead drop its traps in random spots.
- The Trapper's spike and bear trap damage is unaffected by damage buffs, so pairing these traps with damage buffing towers like the DJ Booth or Mercenary Base is useless.
- The Trapper is very useful on maps with longer paths, as it gives the tower more time to accumulate traps before enemies get to them.
- While the Trapper itself does not have hidden detection or lead detection, its traps will still damage Hidden and Lead enemies, making it effective against these types of enemies.
- However, the Trapper is unable to directly throw traps at Hidden enemies due to its aforementioned lack of hidden detection, though it will throw them at lead enemies.
- While the traps can hit hidden enemies, they cannot hit Flying enemies, as they will fly over it.
- As the spike and bear traps deal damage like unit collision, they cannot hit Ghost enemies. However, the landmine is not affected by this.
- The Trapper's spike and bear traps are very useful against enemies with the tank attribute, as they deal damage to them at a quick speed.
Trivia
- The Trapper is loosely based on the Spike Factory from the Bloons Tower Defense series.
- The Trapper with Level 3 spike traps selected has the highest firerate of any tower in the game.

Notes
- ā All traps can damage hidden enemies, but this tower can never directly target hidden enemies.
- ā Through landmine splash damage, flying enemies may be indirectly damaged if another enemy triggers a nearby landmine, but this tower can never directly target flying enemies.
- ā 3.0 3.1 DPS assumes only one enemy is hit by a single trap and receives full damage. For traps with health, uses health instead of damage.
- ā Total Elapsed Damage is calculated as Burn Damage Ć (Burn Time Ć· Tick).
- ā DPS assumes only one enemy is hit by a single trap and receives full damage.
DPS is calculated as Landmine DPS + Burn DPS.
Burn DPS is calculated as Burn Damage Ć· Firerate for burn times shorter or equal to one second, while for burn times longer than one second it is calculated as Burn Damage Ć· Tick. - ā 11.98 Landmine DPS + 0.6 Burn DPS
- ā 19.96 Landmine DPS + 20 Burn DPS
- ā 69.72 Landmine DPS + 28 Burn DPS
