Description
The Templar is an enemy that appears in Fallen mode and Polluted Wasteland II. It has very high health with high defense and average speed. It has an ability where it fires a glowing purple laser from its chest to stun every towers and damage every unit that came in contact with it, making it very dangerous and an number-one priority.
Appearance
The Templar is a large humanoid entity with a waist in its rig. It has a dark blue skin color and the ends of its limbs are covered in a cyan fluid. It has an energy pack on its back with an antenna that emits yellow sparks along with batteries connected to it. This energy pack has grey straps. The Templar also has metal plating on its body. Its chest has a gaping cavity, revealing its rib cage and a pink cube inside, which emits light blue particles. It has red wounds that span horizontally across the chest cavity.
Strategy
- Like all other tanky enemies, high DPS towers like the Accelerator or Minigunner should be used to take the Templar down.
- The Commander should be used to boost the firerate of these towers.
- The Engineer is recommended, as its sentries will continue firing even when the Engineer is stunned by the Templar's Heartfelt Laser ability.
- The Ranger and Pursuit cannot be stunned by the Templar's Heartfelt Laser ability.
- The Military Base's units deal full collision damage to the Templar, regardless of its defense, making them quite useful.
- Do note that their ranged damage is still decreased.
- It is recommended to place your towers away from the path to avoid getting stunned by the Templar's Heartfelt Laser ability.
- It may be viable to have a cheap distraction tower to distract the Templar's Heartfelt Laser from your main offensive towers.
- When the Templar spawns, it will not use its Heartfelt Laser ability for a few seconds. Use this period of time to defeat the Templar before it can stun any towers.
- The Medic can be used to heal towers that were stunned by the Templar's Heartfelt Laser ability..
- Do note that this will be ineffective while the Templar is still using Heartfelt Laser, as the towers will be continuously stunned until the ability is over.
- The Gladiator's stun blocking is ineffective against the Templar, since even after it successfully blocks Heartfelt Laser's initial stun, it will be stunned again because of how long the ability lasts.
- Slowing towers like the Cryomancer, Electroshocker, Warden or Freezer can be used to slow down the Templar.
- However, because of its large size, freezing towers and the Warden will slow it down for a shorter amount of time.
- Do note that the Templar will not stop using its ability when frozen or stunned.
- Defense dropping towers like the Pyromancer, Jester or Freezer can help to reduce the Templar's defense.

- The Templar is a slightly modified version of the Warden enemy.
- Later in 2025, it would actually completely replace the Warden in Polluted Wasteland II.
