Ability	Explode - Upon death, the Split creates a bile bubble, stunning nearby towers.

Description

The Split was an enemy that only appeared in Polluted Wasteland Fallen mode. It did not spawn naturally, and was instead spawned by the Splitter upon its death. This enemy was much faster than the Splitter, but was also weaker than it. In addition, upon its death, the Split stunned towers within a small radius.

Appearance

The Split's appearance was similar to the Splitter, but was much smaller. It had light blue skin and a large bloated stomach. Its navel was blue. It wore black shorts and has grey legs. Its eyes were white, and a radioactive substance leaked out of its eyes and mouth.

Strategy

• The Rocketeer and Mortar are recommended against the Split as they spawn in pairs.
• You can use the Medic's ability to cleanse towers from their stun after a Splitter's death to attack the Split.
• As the Split moves very quickly, they can run past your towers if you aren't careful.
  • For this reason, the Military Base can be quite useful against this enemy as units cannot be stunned by the Split.
• You can use the Frost Blaster, Freezer and Electroshocker to slow the Split down.

Trivia

• This is closely related to the Swarm, an enemy that appeared before the MEGA Update, as it was also spawned by another enemy upon death, the Carrier.
• Weirdly, its legs are the same as the ones used by the second version of the Tank.
• This enemy was effectively replaced by the Goo in Polluted Wasteland II, as both have very similar mechanics.
