Description

Sky Islands is, as the name suggests, a map that takes place in the skies on several islands. It has been remade twice since its addition to the game, though it had a long hiatus as a removed map.

Sky Islands has the Enemies Beta modifier, which changes the appearance of some enemies, replaces some enemies with other enemies and changes stats of some enemies.

Design & Path

The current version of Sky Islands takes place in the sky with the path spanning three distinct islands. There are also two other minor islands and multiple floating rocks. There is a stream on one of the minor islands that falls out of the map. Clouds can be seen dotted around the map. Multiple trees are planted across the map on the grassy parts of the map. On sand, palm trees are planted instead. A brick windmill can also be seen on top of the exit. There are also stone bridges which connect the main islands.
The beige stone path starts and ends at a cave. It takes multiple turns and goes across the bridges.

The second version of Sky Islands took place in the sky with the path spanning two distinct islands. There were also three other minor islands. There was a stream that falls out of the map as well as several chains anchoring the islands. Clouds could be seen dotted around the map. Several trees were planted across the map with a small detachment of cottages found on the every island. A windmill could also be seen.
The beige pebble path started and ended at two caves on separate islands. The two main islands were connected by a stone sky bridge.

The first version of Sky Islands took place in the sky with the path spanning three distinct islands. There was a stream that falls out of the map as well as several chains anchoring the islands. The clouds acted as cliffs in which cliff towers could be placed on them. Several trees were littered across the map with a small detachment of cottages found on the main island.
The brown path started and ended at caves on separate islands. All the islands are connected by wooden sky paths.

Interactive Map

Strategy

  • The second island is where most of your ground towers should be located, as it has the most space out of the three.
  • There are multiple cliffs on the second island, which are ideal for cliff towers as they allow them to cover most of the map.
    • With the DJ Booth, they can easily cover the entire map.
    • For cliffs with multiple levels, it is highly recommended to place them first on the lower level of cliffs, as placing towers on the higher level will block out placement space on the lower level.
