Description

The Skeleton is an enemy that appears in any map with the Enemies Beta modifier active and in Easy, Casual, Intermediate, Badlands II, Polluted Wasteland II, Low Rank PVP Test and Mid Rank PVP Test modes. The Skeleton is primarily summoned by the Necromancer, it does not appear naturally in most modes except Badlands II. A Skeleton summoned by the Necromancer has a chance to have the Hidden attribute. It has a decent amount health and speed.

The Skeleton was replaced by the Brick Man in Headache Headquarters.

Appearance

The Skeleton is made entirely of white parts that resemble a skeletal humanoid. It does not have a full torso, but instead has the bone cage for it. Its head is slightly smaller than most other enemies and has two large black eyeholes.

On death, the Skeleton falls into a pile of bones while playing a bone shaking sound. Its legacy version was pretty similar, though it has a different walking animation and no death animation.

Strategy

  • The Skeleton can be a threat when it first appears, as many can be summoned by the Necromancer if it is not killed quickly, leading to other problems.
    • Killing the Necromancer before it can summon any Skeletons is recommended.
    • Towers like the Soldier, Golden Scout, Militant or Ace Pilot can be quite effective against this.
    • High DPS towers like the Minigunner and Accelerator can be prepared specifically for this enemy if early game towers are not enough, using the Farm to get them as they may be quite expensive.
      • Do note that the Accelerator, if locked onto the Necromancer or other strong enemies, will ignore the Skeletons until the targeted enemy is defeated or leaves its range.
      • The Ranger struggles against hordes of Skeletons due to its slow firerate. It can instead be set to Strongest to target and kill the Necromancer while other towers take care of the Skeletons.
    • Crowd control towers, like the Mortar, Rocketeer or Gladiator can be quite useful as they can damage all the Skeletons as well as the Necromancer at once.
  • Do note that you do not earn any money from the Skeleton as it is a summoned enemy.
  • The Skeleton moves at a somewhat fast pace. You may want to use support towers like the Sledger, Warden or Electroshocker, though this is not necessary.
    • The Sledger, Frost Blaster and Electroshocker are particularly effective as they can slow multiple Skeletons down at once. Additionally, their high damage makes them also useful at killing Skeletons.
  • It is notable that the Skeleton's health changes from 15 to 30 on Intermediate mode, depending on whether or not the map being played has the Enemies Beta modifier active.
