Shield has been removed from the game as of the 29th of October 2020.
Shield may still exist in the game's code, though it is no longer officially used in-game. This page has been preserved for historical purposes.
Description
Shield was a status effect that gives the enemy shields, which set a damage limit to an enemy.
Mechanics
Shield was an attribute that was mainly applied with abilities. It made four shields appear around the enemy, which made the enemy limit most forms of damage to whatever the quoted number on the shields. Exceptions were:
- All forms of damage from units, including collision and ranged (for example, the Golden Mafia and Railgun Tank).
- Bee damage from the Swarmer.
- Burn damage from the Pyromancer.
- Splash Damage.
Enemy List
The following enemies could perform Shield Immunity:
- Templar (Permanent Shield, maximum 2 damage)
- Summoner Boss (Summon, maximum 2 to 4 damage)
- Fallen King (Legacy version, Summon, Rage Mode, maximum 3 damage)
- Nuclear Fallen King (Rage Mode, maximum 3 damage)
- Sir Hopsalot (Eggy Island, Shield, maximum 2 damage)
Trivia
- While Shield has been removed from the game, the visual effects applied by it were not. Because of this, due to bugs, enemies can still have them appear, though regardless of what the damage is listed on them the damage will not be reduced.
- The Fallen Titan currently displays a Shield of 40, though it does not reduce damage at all.
- Tank attribute can be considered a successor to Shield, though unlike it, Tank does not have a visual indicator, has less ways to bypass it and only reduces damage to one instead of any amount.
