Description

The Scarecrow was an enemy that appeared exclusively in Nightmare Carnival as part of the Halloween 2019 Event. It had more health and was slightly faster than the Strong Mummy.

The Scarecrow could have been spawned by Jack O' Bot and the Reaper.

Appearance

The Scarecrow was based on real life scarecrows used on farms that are meant to scare off birds from eating crops. The Scarecrow wore dark navy overalls, pebble dark orange shirt, black pants and a black witch hat. Its skin was light orange wool to symbolize straw. Dark brown wrappings could be seen around both of its arms and across its waist. It was faceless.

Strategy

• The Shredder can be upgraded to Level 3 before wave 5 and it will be able to take out most of the Scarecrows that spawn using its Knife Throw ability.
• The Soldier and Paintballer can deal some damage to Scarecrows, but by the time they first appear, there should be at least a few Minigunners placed down.
• Military Bases can be used as a cheap method to reduce the impact of Scarecrows reaching the end of the path, though they should not be relied upon.

Trivia

• The Scarecrow skin for the Pyromancer has almost the same appearance to the Scarecrow.
• Weirdly, the Scarecrow appeared in the Halloween 2020 Event Trailer despite not appearing in the event.
