- "That elf is HUGE! Watch out for his snowballs!
He'll target the base, defend it at all costs!" - ―Commander dialogue on Wave 12 (Cold Ambush)
Description
The Ripped Elf was a major boss that exclusively appeared in Cold Ambush as part of the Violent Night Event. It had a high amount of health and an average speed. Unlike most other enemies in Cold Ambush, it did not head to the exit, but instead walked on the plots.
It had two abilities, the first one being Snowball Toss. This ability made the Ripped Elf pick up a large snowball from the ground and throw it at towers, stunning towers in a small area at the location where the snowball landed. The second ability, Tree Cutting, was similar to Snowball Toss. However, rather than attacking towers, the Ripped Elf would throw onto the Christmas tree with a large snowball instead, dealing 80 damage to the base.
Appearance
The Ripped Elf was a large enemy with a waist, lower legs, and arms on its rig. It had a tan skin color. It also had a red buttoned up shirt with thin white stripes which had its sleeves torn off. It also had dark grey pants with thin white stripes, along with black shoes. On its waist was a belt with a golden buckle. It wore red boxing gloves with white cuffs, as well as a white armband on its right arm. There was also a tattoo on its left arm, which was a red heart with an arrow going through it, with the words "SANTA" written on it in white. This could also be seen on the back of the shirt. It had a brown beard and long ears on its head.
Strategy
- Try to have as much base health as possible before these spawn. Otherwise, you may have too little base health to survive its Tree Cutting ability.
- The best way to have enough base health would be purchasing multiple plots before it spawns, increasing your base health and making you heal back your base health with passive base health regeneration.
- The Medic can also be used to gain more base health before it spawns, if you lost any base health.
- Multiple early game towers with decent DPS, such as the Golden Crook Boss, Golden Cowboy, Militant or Golden Scout can do pretty well against the Ripped Elf.
- Stronger and more expensive towers, such as the Accelerator, Minigunner, Ranger or Engineer can also be used.
- You can also use the Commander and DJ Booth to boost the firerate and range of your towers.
- The DJ Booth can also be quite useful for decreasing upgrade costs of your towers.
- The Medic can be used to cleanse your towers from stuns caused by the Ripped Elf.
