Penumbras dialogue on Wave 15 (Tower Outskirts)

Description

The Penumbras was the final boss of the third night in the Solar Eclipse Event. It had a large amount of health and a very slow speed.

It had two abilities. Its first ability was Solar Spawn, which spawned five to eight random enemies. These could be the Cursed Guard, Cursed Knight, Lunar Shard or Solar Shard. Its second ability, Shard Toss, made the Penumbras throw shards at towers, creating an explosion, stunning towers caught on him.

Appearance

The Penumbras had purple skin and horns. It had three pink glowing eyes. Its arms were neon pink. It wore purple and grey shoulder-pads, chestplate and leggings. It had pink vines around its arms. It also had two floating objects shaped like a penumbra above its head. It floated slightly above the ground.

Strategy

  • High DPS towers, such as the Accelerator, Ranger, Turret and Golden Minigunner are recommended to defeat this enemy.
    • You can also use the Commander and DJ Booth to help boost the firerate and range of these towers respectively.
  • The Penumbras can spawn multiple enemies with its ability; however, they were quite weak at that point in the game.
    • Towers that deal splash damage, such as the Mortar or Pursuit, can be useful against them.
