Packed Ice (Frost Invasion) was previously removed from the game on the 4th of December 2021 as it was part of the Frost Invasion Event, though it has been made available through the Sandbox mode.
It is not accessible anywhere else in the game, aside from in Sandbox Mode. This page will attempt to include information about both the version before removal and its re-added version.

Description

The Packed Ice was an enemy that appeared exclusively in Outpost 32 as part of the Frost Invasion Event. Currently, it can be only spawned in Sandbox mode. Compared to the Snowy, the Packed Ice had much more health with slower speed. It also had 25% defense which reduced most forms of damage.

Upon its death, the Frost Mystery had a chance to spawn the Packed Ice, from wave 11 onwards.

Appearance

The Packed Ice has a sky blue skin. It has light blue torso and legs. The Packed Ice has a hole in its torso, exposing its dark blue heart. It is faceless and slightly larger than the Frozen.

Event Strategy

Strategy listed here was made for the Frost Invasion Event.

• Use towers with high DPS while being economical in cost, like several Level 2 Minigunners or a Level 0 Accelerator, to deal with the Packed Ice when it initially spawns.
• A single Level 5 Swarmer can easily handle the Packed Ice, despite the fact that it has 25% defense.
• You can use a Level 2 Pyromancer to cut 50% of the Packed Ice's defense.
  • Additionally, as with all enemies in the Frost Invasion Event, the Pyromancer deals double fire damage to the Packed Ice (though normal damage is not doubled).
  • You can also use other defense dropping towers, like the Electroshocker or Freezer. However, these are more expensive and less effective as they only drop 20% defense.
• Defense is ignored by splash damage, meaning that towers and units that deal splash damage will deal 100% damage if the Packed Ice is caught in the epicenter.
  • This makes towers like the Rocketeer and Mortar very useful against the Packed Ice.
  • Upon collision, units, like the Railgun Tank, will ignore defense and deal full collision damage towards the Packed Ice.
