Description

Moon Base is a map that takes place on the moon, as suggested by the name. It has been remade once since its addition to the game.

Moon Base has the Space Suit modifier, which adds astronaut helmets onto every enemy.

Design & Path

The current version of Moon Base takes place on the surface of the moon, as indicated by the grey rocks, American flags (a Thailand flag can also be seen), the Earth in the background and the lunar launch pad. The entire complex appears to be within the rocks connected by tube walkways. Satellites and moon buildings are seen dominating the landscape. A deep spike pit can also be seen on this map. It is a large and expansive map.
The grey path starts at the rocket launch pad. It goes under the rock overhang and meanders around the moon cliffs and artificial objects. The path then ends outside the entrance of the moon base.

The first version of Moon Base took place on the surface of the moon, with the grey rocks, American flags and lunar launch pad indictive of this. High cliffs flank the entire map and a deep spike pit could be seen near the beginning of the map. The entire complex appeared to be within the rocks connected by tube walkways. Satellites and moon buildings were seen dominating the landscape. A crashed UFO can be seen in the middle of the map.

Interactive Map

Strategy

  • The map is quite long, though it is likely that most of your towers will be concentrated near the middle of the map as this is where most of the path's turns are.
    • Be warned that space is limited in this spot. Sell towers that are not as important as others.
  • As this map is quite large, the DJ Booth can be quite helpful in maximizing range.
  • Since the spawn is a distance away from where most of your towers should be, expect summoning enemies, such as the Necromancer and Fallen Necromancer, to spawn in a few enemies before you can attack them.
  • As the map is quite long, it may take a while for units from towers like the Military Base or Crook Boss to reach the start of the map.
  • With the exception of the cliff near the exit, all the other cliff spots on this map are glitched, so you cannot place cliff towers on them. As such, the space available for cliff towers is very limited on this map.

Trivia

  • Unlike many other maps that existed prior to the MEGA Update, this map was not remade or removed in the MEGA Update.
    • This was quite strange considering that the map had a blocky style, similar to maps that were remade.
    • This map was later remade in the Overhaul Update.
  • Several Robloxians could be seen around the map in the first version of Moon Base.
    • These Robloxians were changed to SweetHiddenlove and Bisyeet in the second version of the map.
  • As the sun is on the side of the Earth furthest away from the moon, it would not be theoretically possible to see the Earth.
