Description

The Molten Titan is a large enemy which appears in Legacy Molten and Hardcore modes. The Molten Titan has fairly high health, higher than most enemies that appear before it. Luckily, it moves pretty slowly. It also has Burn and Stun Immunity, meaning that stunning towers can only slow it down instead of stunning it.

It can be summoned by the Molten Boss. The Mystery Boss can also spawn the Molten Titan upon its death in Legacy Molten mode, wave 38 onwards and in Hardcore mode on wave 45 onwards.

Appearance

The current Molten Titan is identical to its original version, except it has a slash across its forehead, with drooping lines leaking from it.

The original version of the Molten Titan had flowing orange-red skin, similar to the Molten. It wore dark cobblestone armor, along with a cobblestone cape. It had cobblestone armbands as well as a cobblestone helmet with orange-red horns coming out. Its torso and legs were black cobblestone and a puddle of lava could be seen on its chest. Fire emitted from its torso. A lava trail was left behind as it walked. It walked with its head tilted downwards. It had a twisted left leg and a drooling zombie face.

Strategy

  • High DPS towers such as Minigunners, Accelerators, Turrets and Rangers can kill the Molten Titan easily.
    • The Commander can also assist these towers in defeating the Molten Titan by boosting their firerate.
  • Make sure some of your towers are set to First instead of Strongest as they may target the Molten Boss instead of the Molten Titan, allowing the Molten Titan to slip through your defense.
  • Splash damage towers, such as the Mortar, Rocketeer and the Pursuit can be useful against the Molten Titan as they normally spawn in hordes.
  • You can use towers like the Sledger, Electroshocker or Warden to slow this down.
    • As this enemy has Stun Immunity, stunning towers like the Electroshocker can only slow it down instead of stunning it completely.
    • Do note that freezing towers and the Warden will slow down the Molten Titan for a shorter amount of time because of its large size.
  • While towers that deal fire damage, like the Pyromancer or Trapper cannot burn the Molten Titan, they can still deal non-burn damage to it.

Trivia

  • Because of the Mystery Boss, the Molten Titan can appear before its first wave appearance in Molten mode.
  • The Molten Titan was originally able to heal itself (100 health per second) but this ability has since been removed.
  • The cape used by the Molten Titan is a re-textured version of the Guardian of the Night Cape accessory from the Roblox catalog.
  • The Molten Titan's appearance was based on Molten Guardian, a fan idea of a guardian enemy for the Molten Boss.
  • Oddly, the Commander calls the Molten Boss the Molten Titan; this is likely due to developer oversight.
