"A Molten Summoner?! This could be a massive problem if they keep it up!
Hah! As if! We're unbeatable!"

Commander dialogue on Wave 31 (Molten)

Description

The Molten Summoner is a summoner enemy that appears in Molten mode. It has a high amount of health, though it walks quite slowly. It has the Burn Immunity, making it impossible to set on fire, and the Freeze Immunity, making it impossible to freeze or chill.

It has one ability, Hellish Summon, where it summons five to ten Elite Moltens with random attributes, which can be Bloated (10% chance), Hidden (30% chance), Nimble (20% chance) and Health Regen (40% chance).

Appearance

The Molten Summoner has red skin. Its head is entirely covered in light yellow wood, with a single eyehole showing a neon orange eye. It wears a few dark red bandages around its arms, a wooden chestplate which also extends to its shoulder-pads. It wields a wooden staff which contains an orange gem in it.

Strategy

  • High DPS towers, like the the Turret, Minigunner or Accelerator can be useful here.
    • High DPS towers with crowd control capabilities can be especially useful, as they can hit both the Molten Summoner and the enemies it summons. Such towers include the Ranger, Pursuit and Engineer.
  • Crowd control towers like the Mortar or Electroshocker can be useful at dealing with the enemies spawned by the Molten Summoner.
  • No cash can be generated from summoned enemies. This includes the Cowboy's cash generation.
    • However, this also means that the Cowboy will deal more DPS to the summons, as attacking summoned enemies does not make it spin its guns, making it attack for longer.
