Description

The Medic is an intermediate support tower that can heal back any base health that has been lost. It can be unlocked from the store for Coin 1,500.

The Medic heals base health by a specified amount each wave. The amount of health healed increases with the level of the Medic and the amount of Medics placed down, but the base health will not be healed if it is already at max health, even if it appears that the Medic is healing it. Some upgrades are meant to increase the amount of base health recovered per wave, though due to a bug, this is not the case. The Medic has immunity to all stuns by default, and at Level 5, it will gain the ability to cleanse all towers within its range from any stun that they may have. For these reasons, the Medic is primarily considered a support tower, despite having some offensive capabilities.

Strategy

  • The Medic is immune to all stuns from any enemy.
  • The Medic can restore base health lost to enemies.
    • This is only really useful early on in the game when all the enemies have low health. Later on, this becomes irrelevant when enemies gain more health, with most enemies being able to instantly drop the base health to zero.
      • Additionally, the Medic's performance in the early game is rather underwhelming, with subpar DPS and range compared to other early game towers. Thus, using the Medic purely for defense or base health restoration is not recommended.
  • The Medic can be used to cleanse towers from stuns with its Cleansing ability, making it useful against enemies that stun towers.
    • As enemies can stun many towers multiple times in a short amount of time, having multiple Medics may be needed to keep your towers from being stunned.
      • You can also sell the Medic after using its ability, and then replace it.
  • The Medic should mainly be used as a support tower.
    • The Medic can also be used as an offensive tower, as it has a higher DPS than other towers, such as the Scout and Paintballer.
      • However, the Medic's DPS is quite low from the mid-game and onwards. If you have better towers, such as the Minigunner, you should place those down instead for a better DPS.
      • If you want to use the Medic as an offensive tower, it is best to place down multiple Level 2 Medics due to their cost efficiency.
  • The DJ Booth can increase the range of the Medic, which increases the range of the Cleansing ability, allowing it to cleanse more towers.

Trivia

  • The Medic is the second tower that has the ability to restore base health, although it is currently the only one to do so.
    • The first tower able to do so was the Gladiator, although it has since lost this ability.
  • The syringe gun that the Medic initially has is similar to the Syringe Gun from Team Fortress 2.
    • The tower's original description ("MEDICCCCC!") was also a reference to Team Fortress 2.
  • At Level 2, Vitamins from R2DA can be seen on the Medic's belt.
  • The Medic's Level 3 upgrade name is a reference to the meme Yeah, This Is Big Brain Time.
  • During Hardcore Testing BETA, the Medic had the same upgrade icons and upgrading prices as the Mecha Base, barring the placement cost.
  • Until the Overhaul Update, the Medic's Level 5 upgrade was misspelled as Goddess or Healing.
  • The Medic was unable to heal base health in the now removed Versus mode.
  • Despite the fact that the Level 5 Medic shoots a laser, it is unable damage to Lead enemies.
  • The Medic's red cross is violating Geneva Convetions Laws, as it is being used by the ICRC and is strictly restricted to be associated with real-world medical aid.
