Mechanical Rot has been removed from the game as of the 4th of December 2021.
Mechanical Rot may still exist in the game's code, though it is no longer officially used in-game, outside of possibly being in Sandbox in some form. This page has been preserved for historical purposes.
Description
The Mechanical Rot was an enemy that only appeared during the legacy Hidden Wave, and therefore Fallen mode. The Mechanical Rot was considered a major boss. This enemy had the third highest health out of all the enemies in the Hidden Wave, with the Frost Hero being the second with 80,000 health and the Creator being the first with 600,000 health. It could attack towers with its Rotting Minigun, stunning towers that it hits for a long period of time. The only redeeming thing about the Mechanical Rot is that it walked very slowly, even slower than the Creator.
Appearance
The Mechanical Rot boasted the same texture and design scheme as Jack O' Bot, but some of the colors are a bit darker, including the pumpkin head.
The Mechanical Rot was armed with a laser machine gun and an arm cannon. It had a black pumpkin head, pumpkins on its shoulders and a fleshed-out torso, but everything else appears to be mechanical. It had a skull below its torso, and a metal pad on its chest. It was extremely tall due to its mechanical legs. It appeared to be a rotting version of Jack O' Bot, which tied into the Mechanical Rot name.
Strategy
- As with most Hidden Wave enemies, high DPS towers, such as the Accelerator, Ranger and Turret, are recommended.
- The Commander is essential to boost the firerate of towers.
- Try to kill the Mechanical Rot as quickly as possible, as it can stun large swathes of towers, allowing fast enemies, like the Bug, or the Creator to walk past.
- Its very slow speed allows it to be overtaken by most enemies, meaning that when the Creator comes out, the Mechanical Rot becomes incredibly hard to kill.
- The Freezer, Sledger and Frost Blaster cannot freeze the Mechanical Rot due to its large size and Freeze Immunity.
- The Toxic Gunner cannot slow this down because of its poison immunity.
- The Electroshocker can only slow down the Mechanical Rot instead of stunning it. Additionally, it can only slow it down for a very short period of time due to its large size.
- If you have a Medic that is not stunned, its ability can be used to cleanse your towers if they are stunned from the Rotting Minigun.
- As with most other enemies in the Hidden Wave, the Commander's Call to Arms ability is essential in defeating this enemy.
- While the Pyromancer cannot burn the Mechanical Rot, it can still deal non-burn damage to it.
Trivia
- The head of the Mechanical Rot is a re-textured version of the Sinister-P Sinister P. accessory from the Roblox catalog.
- The pumpkin shoulders of the Mechanical Rot are re-textured versions of the Happy Jack-o'-Lantern accessory from the Roblox catalog.
- The Mechanical Rot may be a reincarnation or rebuilt version of Jack O' Bot, hence its name.
- The Mechanical Rot is one of the few major bosses that are not the final boss of a gamemode (or event).
