Krampus (Village of Despair) has been removed from the game as of the 26th of January 2020 as it was part of the Christmas 2019 Event.
This page has been preserved for historical purposes.

Description

Krampus appeared exclusively in Village of Despair as the final boss of the Christmas 2019 Event. As with most major bosses, it had an extremely high amount of health, but walked very slowly.

Krampus had five abilities. Its Stomp attack created a large shockwave, stunning towers around it. Its Summon ability summoned a large number of enemies. These enemies could have been the Frozen, Gingerbread, Burnt Gingerbread, Snowman, Deep Freeze and Yeti. Its Crystallize attack created a line of ice that froze towers for a long time so that they could not attack. When Krampus reached half health, it would activate its Rage Mode, healing itself. During this attack, it was immune to most attacks for about 15 seconds, excluding unit collision damage. It then gained the Icicle Storm attack, which caused icicles to fall around the map, freezing most, if not all, towers.

Appearance

Krampus' appearance resembled an ice warrior as it wore dark blue granite robes to symbolize the cold. It had blue skin, had two large pauldrons and wore a large ice helmet, complete with horns. It also wore black granite shoes. It had light blue glowing eyes. It initially spawned with an ice staff on its back, but few seconds after spawning it would take out its ice staff, which would be used to perform many of its abilities. The staff emitted white light when wielded, however, it would not emit light if it was on Krampus' back.

During Rage Mode, Krampus would briefly emit blue sparks. It would take off its helmet, revealing its head. Its eyes changed from light blue to blue. The skin turned from dark blue to black with blue parts. Krampus also emitted blue light, instead of white light that was emitted from its ice staff.

Strategy

  • The Medic's ability is very useful against this boss due to the fact that most of its attacks stun towers for a long while. The ability can cleanse towers of their stun.
    • This is best taken advantage of by having a spare tower slot for the Medic, ready to place down whenever towers are stunned.
  • As always, Outlaws, Minigunners and Turrets are the best towers against this boss.
    • The DJ Booth can be used to boost the range of these towers. This is recommended due to the map layout and the fact that most of Krampus' attacks stun towers near its vicinity.
  • If Krampus passes the bridge, sell towers on the first island and place them near the end.
  • A few Rocketeers may be useful in killing the enemies that Krampus spawns.
  • You cannot slow this boss down by any means, not with the Freezer or Pyromancer.
    • The Pyromancer will deal non-burn damage to it, but it cannot burn it.
    • Likewise, the Freezer can deal damage to it, but it cannot freeze it.
      • In both cases, it is best to just sell these towers and place down another tower that has high DPS.

  • Krampus may be loosely based on Frosty, in terms of design, from Tower Battles.

  • This was the first boss to have a Rage Mode ability (the Fallen King's Rage Mode was added after Krampus).

      • When Krampus activated its Rage Mode, Krampus puts its ice staff behind its back, then an ice blue aura and snowflake particles can be seen around its torso. Krampus took off its mask, revealing its face.
  • When the Christmas 2019 Event ended, Krampus' helmet could be found in the lobby on the beach.
  • Krampus' head was the The Scorched accessory from the Roblox catalog.
  • Krampus would always use its Stomp ability and then a second random ability few seconds after spawning.
