"All enemies have high defenses, tank and bloated modifiers."
―In-Game Description

Description

Juggernaut is a challenge map, which can currently be played on the Mason Arch map. It uses Fallen mode as its mode. Triumphing on this map rewards the player with Gem 125, Time Scale Ticket 4, Experience 400 EXP and two Nukes. However, the rewards can be higher if modifiers that affect rewards are present. Like with other challenges, rewards can only be claimed once a week.

Changes

Juggernaut has three main changes to enemies, applying the Tank attribute to multiple enemies, increasing every enemy's defense by 50% and giving every enemy the Bloated attribute. On the earlier waves, it also spaces out the enemy spawns. Cash is also altered on this challenge.

Tank

The Tank attribute is only applied to these enemies:

Health

While the challenge and modifier claim to add the Bloated attribute, this is not the only change related to enemy health. A few select enemies have their own preset health values that are not the same as Fallen mode but doubled. These values are still doubled, making these enemies mostly have higher health than in Fallen mode, with some exceptions.

Enemies that do not have a set cash that they give on death will give Cash (Gameplay Currency)$5 on death instead. Any enemies that do not have their health altered in any way by the challenge or modifiers present on this map are affected by Fallen mode's health scaling.

Waves

The wave structure of this mode is slightly altered.

Cash

There are two changes made to cash, first is starting cash. It is Cash (Gameplay Currency)$300 higher than in Fallen mode. Additionally, the wave bonus is also increased. It is calculated as:

(Cash (Gameplay Currency)$90 - ((Players - 1) Ɨ 10)) + Waves Completed Ɨ (Cash (Gameplay Currency)$450 - ((Players - 1) Ɨ 50))

The wave clear bonus appears when every enemy from that wave was killed. It is 35% of the wave bonus in solo, while for duo and trio it is 20%.

Strategy

  • Compared to regular Fallen mode, the wave bonus is boosted heavily, meaning you will gain more cash overall and can allow yourself to bring more expensive towers.
  • As all enemies that appear before Wave 20 are tank enemies, towers effective at killing these enemies are heavily recommended.
    • Units can be quite effective, as they will deal full damage to them. The Military Base is most effective at this stage, due to its cheap cost.
    • As the Trapper's spike and bear traps deal collision damage, it can be quite effective here.
    • If using the Military Base, you may want to place down the Military Base and wait a bit before starting the match. As the unit timer is active on Wave 0, you can wait for it to go down, allowing the Military Base to send out a Humvee instantly, or multiple if you wait long enough.
    • Multiple Shotgunners are quite effective, as each bullet the Shotgunner fires deals one damage.
  • Defense dropping towers are very useful here, as every enemy has at least 50% defense here.
    • Defense dropping is not that important early on, as while some enemies like the Abnormal Boss have defense comparable to late game enemies like Fallen Guardian, these enemies are also tanks, meaning damage dealt to them is always reduced to 1.
    • The Pyromancer can be very effective, due to its high defense dropping and quick tick rate.
    • The Cryomancer can be effective here, as it can reduce defense and slow down enemies.
  • After Wave 19, the only new enemy to be a tank is Hazard, meaning that towers that would not be as effective against tank enemies can be used. This includes the Engineer, Pursuit and Ranger.
