There must be hundreds of them coming through... if not thousands. Stay vigilant."

Description

The Hex Spawn was the first enemy to appear in The Nightmare Realm and Containment as part of the Hexscape Event alongside the Hex Minion. It had a decent amount of health and an above average speed. On some waves, it could spawn with Bloated or Aggro.

Appearance

The Hex Spawn had a light maroon skin with multiple red veins. It also wore grey pieces of armor, consisting of shoulder-pads, chestplate and short, alongside brown knee-pads and a belt. Multiple red crystals could be seen on its armor.

Strategy

  • Strong early-game towers like the Golden Crook Boss, Militant, Cowboy and Golden Soldier can be used to kill this quickly.
  • The Pyromancer and Golden Pyromancer can be useful here, as it can kill multiple of them with its flames.
  • On some waves, the Hex Spawn will spawn with Aggro, making it force towers to target it.
    • Towers that can damage multiple enemies at once, such as the Pyromancer or Electroshocker can be useful here.
    • The Trapper can be useful in such situations, as while it will still target it, its traps will damage any enemies that get past the Aggro Hex Spawns. Similarly, unit collisions can also be effective.
