Dispatcher on Wave 5 (The Nightmare Realm)

Description

The Hex Revenant was a tanky enemy that appeared on Wave 5 of The Nightmare Realm and Containment as part of the Hexscape Event. It had a high amount of health and speed, stronger than the Hex Wraith, while also having a decent amount defense. On some waves, it could spawn with the Bloated, Nimble and Aggro attributes.

Appearance

The Hex Revenant had a red skin and neon red eyes. On its torso, it had a large hole which revealed its ribcage, what appeared to be its heart and the lava that was inside its body. It wore a grey neckguard, grey shoulder-pads and grey padding around legs. On its shoulder-pads and padding, it had red crystals. On its arms, it had large grey claws.

Strategy

  • Strong early-game towers like the Golden Crook Boss, Militant, Cowboy and Golden Soldier can be used to kill this quickly.
  • As this enemy has defense, defense dropping towers like the Pyromancer or Cryomancer can be used to drop its defense.
    • Some of these can also be used to damage other enemies that spawn alongside it or slow it down, making it even easier to deal with.
  • On some waves, the Hex Revenant will spawn with Aggro, making it force towers to target it.
    • Towers that can damage multiple enemies at once, such as the Pyromancer or Electroshocker can be useful here.
    • The Trapper can be useful in such situations, as while it will still target it, its traps will damage any enemies that get past the Aggro Hex Revenant. Similarly, unit collisions can also be effective.
