Hex Mimic has been removed from the game as of the 20th of November 2024 as it was part of the Hexscape Event.
This page has been preserved for historical purposes.
Description
The Hex Mimic was a summoner enemy that appeared in The Nightmare Realm as part of the Hexscape Event. It had a decent amount of health, same as the Forsaken Skull with Shield Health included, but was slower than it with its base speed.
It had two abilities, both only activated after losing a certain amount of health. The first ability, Forbidden Treasure, was activated upon losing all of its Shield Health. It would start to spit out Hex Wraiths and Hex Minions from itself with random attributes. Enemies and attributes had specific chances to be chosen. Its second ability was activated when it reached 30% of its health, with that being Panic Mode. This would give the Hex Mimic the Nimble attribute and make it summon enemies faster.
Appearance
The Hex Mimic was a large brown and grey chest with a light maroon torso, legs and arms. It had large, grey teeth and a red tongue inside of the chest. On top of its chest, it also had multiple grey spikes. It wore brown pants.
Enemies Summoned
The Hex Mimic could summon two enemies, that being the Hex Wraith with a 33.3% chance and the Hex Minion with a 66.7% chance. However, each one could spawn with a random attribute, with these being:
- None (18.18% chance)
- Nimble (27.27% chance)
- Bloated (9.09% chance)
- Health Regen (18.18% chance)
- Aggro (9.09% chance)
- Hidden (18.18% chance)
Strategy
- Early-game towers, like the Golden Crook Boss, Cowboy, Militant and Golden Soldier can be quite effective against this.
- The Hex Mimic is a summoner enemy, which can summon enemies with various attributes.
- It can summon Hidden enemies, meaning that hidden detection or towers that can damage them indirectly are needed to deal with this.
- It can summon Aggro enemies, making all your towers target them instead of the enemy they were targeting before.
- Towers that can damage multiple enemies at once, such as the Pyromancer or Electroshocker can be useful in such cases.
- The Trapper will target these enemies, however, its traps that were placed on the path will still be able to damage other enemies and not the Aggro enemies.
- Units will target the Aggro enemy if they have a ranged attack, however, they can still be used to collide with enemies that are in front of it.
- Crowd control towers like the Pyromancer, Mortar or Electroshocker can be used to deal damage to both the Hex Mimic and the enemies it summons.
