Description

The Hefty is the first Hardcore exclusive enemy encountered in Hardcore mode. It has 20 health and walks at a below average speed. It has a defense of 25%.

The Hefty can be spawned by the Fallen Reaper and the Mystery upon its death in Hardcore mode. It can also be spawned by the Grave Digger in Hardcore mode.

The current Hefty has dark red reflective skin. Its torso, legs, wristbands and sleeves are made out of corroded metal. It is faceless.

The original Hefty had green reflective skin. Its torso, legs, wristbands and sleeves were made out of corroded metal. It had a sad face. It walked with its head titled downwards. It looked similar to the Chained Boss.

Strategy

• A Level 2 Ace Pilot can easily wipe out hordes of Hefties, due to its high DPS and bombs that deal splash damage.
  • These bombs can also deal full damage to defense enemies, making it even more useful against Hefties.
• Multiple Level 2 Military Bases can be useful against this enemy, as their collision damage deals full damage to enemies with defense.
• The Executioner can easily clear out hordes of these, due to its bouncing and piercing.
• Towers with a fast firerate, like the Minigunner and Soldier, will be easily able to destroy swarms of Hefties.
• Splash damage towers, like the Rocketeer, Ace Pilot and Mortar, can be efficient against this enemy as they usually spawn in hordes.
• Towers like the Pyromancer, Freezer and Frost Blaster can be used to decrease the Hefty's defense, allowing your other towers deal more damage to it.
  • The Golden Pyromancer can also be quite useful at dealing withe the Hefty on its own.
  • This is not required however, as the Hefty has very low defense.
  • The Electroshocker can also be used, however it is much more expensive for the time Hefties spawn, and is less effective.
• The Gladiator and Sledger can clear out a horde of Hefties admirably well as they have pierce and high damage.
• The Sledger can freeze multiple Hefties for a fair period of time. This can keep more Hefties in the range of other towers for longer, and even bunch a group of Hefties together for splash damage attacks.

Trivia

• Weirdly, the health of the Hefty was increased in MEGA Servers, despite it not being able to spawn in a MEGA Server without admin commands.
• The current version of the Hefty looks similar to the Rusted.
  • Its original appearance looked similar to the unreleased version of Chained Boss.
