Description

The Hallow Guard was an enemy that appeared exclusively in Trick or Threat Town as part of the Halloween 2020 Event. While the Hallow Guard had slow speed, it had a high amount of health. It also had 35 defense which meant that the Hallow Guard could have take a while to defeat. Additionally, it could stun towers with its Slash ability.

Appearance

The Hallow Guard was very similar to the Hallow Bones in appearance, except that it was much taller. It was entirely made out of marble dark grey parts to represent a skeleton. It did not have a full torso, but instead had the bone cage for it. Its head was slightly smaller than usual and had two large yellow eyes. Fire was emitted from its eyes. It had dark granite armor and helmet. It held a sword which was used to slash at towers.

Strategy

  • Due to their high health and defense, the Ranger is the best tower against the Hallow Guard.
    • Placing down multiple Level 3+ Rangers is recommended to take down this enemy.
    • The Accelerator and Turret can also be used.
      • Be aware that if the Accelerator is stunned, it will have to go through its lengthy charge-up again.
    • The Minigunner can also be used, but due to the Hallow Guard's defense, it will only deal half damage towards it.
  • If you can, try to place towers away from the path so that they cannot be targeted by the Hallow Guard.
    • Cliff and air-based towers cannot be targeted, making them ideal against the Hallow Guard.
  • Using the Commander's Call to Arms ability to boost the firerate of towers attacking this enemy is a good idea.

Trivia

  • The Hallow Guard had a death animation where it would fall into a pile of bones and its head would roll a short distance.
  • When the Hallow Guard was first added, its death animation did not play correctly.
    • Instead it just stood still. This prevented units from getting past it.
  • The Hallow Guard may be a reference to the Wither Skeleton from Minecraft.
