Description

The Hallow Guard was an enemy that appeared in the second act of the Lunar Overture Event. It was a tanky enemy with high health, high defense and an average speed, which spawned in hordes. It had stun immunity, which made the Electroshocker and Warden only slow it down instead of fully stopping it. Additionally, it was immune to splash damage.

The Hallow Guard could be spawned by the Reaper, however, the Hallow Guard spawned had random health. The health was higher than 2,500, but lower than 3,000. It was also slightly smaller and faster.

Appearance

The Hallow Guard was a large skeletal humanoid with a waist, lower arms and lower legs in its rig. It had a ribcage instead of a torso and wore a grey chestplate with a dark grey skull that had glowing blue parts. It also wore grey shoulder-pads with spikes as well as a brown belt with a grey buckle. It had a pair of black eyeholes in its head with blue flames being emitted from them.

On death, the Hallow Guard would fall into a pile of bones while playing a bone shaking sound.

Strategy

  • High DPS towers like the Accelerator, Minigunner or Pursuit are quite effective against this.
    • The Commander and DJ Booth can be useful at boosting their firerate and range respectively.
  • As the Hallow Guard is immune to splash damage, splash damage towers are useless against the Hallow Guard.
    • Towers that deal both regular and splash damage are also less effective against it.
  • Defense dropping towers like the Pyromancer or Electroshocker can be useful against this, as it has a pretty high defense.

Trivia

  • Although the Hallow Guard did not have the ghost immunity, units could not collide with it.
  • Although this enemy shares the name with the Hallow Guard from Trick or Threat Town, the only similarity is that they are both skeletons.
