Description
The Golden Skincrate is a very powerful skincrate that grants one of six Golden skins which come with a Golden Perk. It costs a colossal 
50,000, the single most expensive skincrate and item you can buy in the game with coins. Golden Perks make towers much stronger, but usually more expensive as well.
Each skin in this skincrate can appear in the daily skin store. Uniquely, unlike all other skincrates, each skin in this skincrate has its own cost. The Golden Soldier skin costs 50,000, the Golden Scout and Golden Crook Boss skins cost 55,000, the Golden Pyromancer costs 65,000, the Golden Cowboy costs 70,000 and the Golden Minigunner costs 75,000.
Appearance
The skincrate is larger than the Basic Skincrate. It is more smooth and sleek, and appears to open up like a futuristic crate. There is a card reader attached to it.
The old version looked exactly like the Platinum Skincrate, except that it was yellow in color.

Trivia
- The current design of the Golden Skincrate is likely based on the Nantonium Strongbox from SAS: Zombie Assault 4.
- The Golden Skincrate is currently the only item in the game that gives a buff to tower outside of Consumables and support Towers.
- The only other item to do this was the Platinum Skincrate, which was the same thing as the Golden Skincrate, but easier to get.
- The Golden Skincrate uniquely shortens the name of the Pyromancer to Pyro in its inventory description.
- All towers from this skincrate have a unique sound when placed. Other unique placement sounds of skins override this sound however.
