Description
The Glitch is an enemy with extremely high speed, being the fastest enemy in Challenges. While it has relatively low health for its debut, its high speed makes it a very dangerous threat. It also has stun immunity, which prevents it from being completely stopped by the Warden and Electroshocker, only being slowed down instead and makes it immune to knockback.
The Glitch can be spawned by the Mystery upon its death in Legacy Fallen mode from Wave 27 onwards only.
Appearance
The Glitch is a volatile multi-colored enemy with no face. It has a white head, neon orange torso, blue right arm, magenta left arm, salmon right leg, and cyan left leg, all of which are either translucent or glowing. Glitched particles of various colors are emitted whenever the Glitch runs. It also makes a brief beeping sound upon death.
Strategy
- High DPS towers like the Minigunner, Golden Soldier, Turret or Golden Minigunner can be quite effective against the Glitch.
- Using the Commander to boost their firerate can be very helpful against this enemy.
- Using the DJ Booth to boost the range of your towers can also be very helpful, as the Glitch can easily run past towers like the Accelerator or Minigunner due to their charge up time and range.
- Using towers that can slow down the Glitch, such as the Electroshocker are highly recommended.
- Do note that the Glitch has stun immunity, which makes stunning towers like the Electroshocker only slow down the Glitch instead of completely stopping it and prevents it from being knocked back.
- The Sledger is not recommended against this, as the Glitch can easily avoid being hit by the Sledger because of its slow firerate and low range. However, multiple Sledgers can be effective against this.
- Because of the Glitch's high speed, towers with slow firerate and short range, such as the Shotgunner, Demoman and Gladiator, will perform poorly against these enemies.
- A group of Level 5 Gladiators can perform well against the Glitch.
- Projectile based towers, like the Mortar or Demoman, can also miss the Glitch due to its speed.
- Crowd control towers, such as the Executioner, Rocketeer or Mortar can be used against Glitches, as they mostly spawn in groups.
- The Military Base's Tank and Railgun Tank, as well as the Mercenary Base's Riot Guard can absorb damage from damaged Glitches somewhat well.
- However, do not rely solely on this as a horde of Glitches can wipe through all of your units.
