Skin Upgrades

The Gladiator has nine skins in total. This includes:

1. The Default skin which is obtained for free.
2. Seven skins that can be unlocked from Skincrates.
3. One skin that can be unlocked from a code.

0		Tan skin, grey torso and dark grey pants. Wields a Linked Sword to attack enemies.
1		Grey chest-plate, sleeves and black gloves.
2		Galea helmet. Now wields a light blue sword.
3		Grey knee-pads, white elbow-pads and black boots.
4		Now wields an Illumina.
5		Red fabric cape and retextured Dominus Empyreus. Now wields a Darkheart.

The Slugger skin is obtained from the Premium Skincrate.

1		Brown gloves.
2		Black baseball cap and shades. Baseball bat is now dark brown.

4		Baseball bat is now made of metal with a black grip.
5		Baseball cap front design changed. Now has headphones. Baseball bat now has a different design with barbed wire wrapped around the tip. Now has a Purple Vibecaster Boombox on its back.

The Pumpkin skin is obtained from the Pumpkin Skincrate.

0		Orange pumpkin head, white skin and dark orange granite torso and legs. Wields a grey axe to attack enemies.
1		Black and yellow chestplate, shoulder-pads and shoes, and black knuckle gloves.
2		Axe is now purple.
3		Black and yellow leg paddings and brown fur around its pumpkin head.
4		Axe is now neon lime.
5		Black crown and cape, extended chestplate and neon yellow chain wrapped around its left leg. Skin is now neon yellow, pumpkin head is now black. Axe is now neon orange.

The Demon skin is obtained from the Spooky Skincrate.

0		Grey skin, has rosewood granite torso and legs. Wields a sword to attack enemies.
1		Red granite chestplate, red shoulder-pads, red gloves, gains wings.
2		Gains a red granite helmet.
3		Now has lead sleeves, lead elbow-pads, and dark red granite knee-pads.
4		Now wields a small bat-winged scythe.
5		Helmet changes to an open dominus, now wears a cape, eyes are now glowing red. Now wields a bigger scythe.

The Beach skin was obtained by the Code: beachglad2022

0		Tan skin with blue and white shorts. Wields a blue pool noodle to attack enemies.
1		Orange sunglasses, yellow puffer jacket and red armbands.
2		Yellow visor with white brim. Pool noodle is now yellow.
3		Now wears an orange towel around its neck and two inflatable white and red armbands around its shoulders.
4		Duck floatie around thighs.
5		Visor is replaced with a yellow beach hat with a duck face. Pool noodle is now red.

The Vigilante skin is obtained from the Vigilante Skincrate.

0		Tan skin, black helmet that covers its entire head with neon orange design on the front, black pants, dark grey shoes, grey and dark grey gloves, and grey, dark grey and black vest. Has a grey blade attached to its right glove that it uses to attack enemies.
1		Orange belt and dark grey shirt.
2		Grey hood with neon orange outlines. Blade is now white.
3		Black shoulder-pads and knee-pads, and orange stripes on sleeves.
4		Blade is now orange.
5		Now has a different hood with neon orange horns. Blade is now neon orange.

The Pirate skin is obtained from the Pirate Skincrate.

0		Tan skin, white shirt, black pants, brown shoes and green cloth wrapped around torso. Wields a sword to attack enemies.
1		Dark brown gloves and shoulder-pad.
2		Black head scarf. Sword now has a blue and grey blade.
3		Brown pouches on legs. Shirt replaced with a black coat.
4		Sword is now longer. Brown part of the sword is now black while blades are now blue and green.
5		Black eye-patch and pirate hat with blue outlines, blue scar on right eye and two swords on its back. Sword now has a neon blue and green blade.

The Galactic skin is obtained from the Deluxe Skincrate.

4		Laser sword now has a small blade at the back.
5		Black breathing mask with tubes. Red cape with a red and black emblem on it. Shoulder-pads now have tubes Energy sword now has two small blades on the side.

The Phantom skin is obtained from the Phantom Skincrate.

3		Dark grey hoodie with a hood with red outlines, rolled up sleeves. and smalle, neon red protrusions on the mask.

5		Dark grey knee-pads and red lines on shoes. Saya is now black and red with neon red elements. Now wields a dark grey katana with a neon red outline on the blade and red handle.

Skin Trivia

• The Gladiator currently has the most skins for an event tower.
• Currently no Gladiator skins share the same weapon
• The Beach skin was originally going to be called the Ducky Gladiator.
  • In a few development images, the Ducky Gladiator had duck-themed cosmetics that were removed when the Beach skin was added to the game.
• The Slugger is based on the RED Scout from Team Fortress 2.
  • The bat used by the Slugger skin between Level 4-5 was based on the Bat that the Scout uses.
  • The boombox on the back of the Slugger skin may be based on the Boston Boom-Bringer cosmetic item for Scout.
  • The Level 5 bat is similar to the Classic Baseball Bat used in R2DA with the Barbed Wire attachment.
• The Pumpkin skin is heavily based on Lord Sinister.
• The Gladiator shares its Level 2 icon with the Archer's Level 3 icon.
  • This is strange as the Gladiator does not have a ranged attack.
• The Sledger has the same upgrade icons as the Gladiator.
• The Level 5 Demon skin having red eyes is likely a reference to the first version of the Default Level 5 Gladiator having red eyes.
• On one of the renders used as background for Leaderboards, the Default skin is depicted to have a blue cape, which is never seen in game.
  • As the render on Roblox is called "VersusGraphic", this is due to it being a reused image for the Versus mode, with cape colors representing the red and blue teams.
• On the render seen in the Gift Box after purchasing the Unwavering Tides Bundle gamepass, and the Unwavering Tides Update thumbnail and trailer, the Pirate Gladiator has flintlocks on its torso. However, these are not present on the Pirate Gladiator in-game.
• The Pirate Gladiator skin is a reference to Roronoa Zoro from One Piece.
• The Galactic skin appearance is based on Sith Lords from Star Wars, though it does not appear to be based on any specific character.
• The blade used by the Vigilante skin may be a reference to the Mantis Blades from Cyberpunk 2077.
• The Cameraman skin was an unreleased skin for the April Fools 2024 Update,

Roblox Catalog

• The Linked Sword (Level 0), Brigand's Sword (Original Level 2), Venomshank (Original Level 3), Illumina (Level 4) and Darkheart (Level 5) swords, which were used by the Gladiator at one point, are all gears found in the Roblox catalog.
  • These swords are well known in Roblox's history. The Linked Sword was one of the six weapons in BrickBattle. Brigand's Sword was the first gear ever published. The Venomshank, Illumina and Darkheart are unique swords from Sword Fight on the Heights IV.
• The Level 5 Default skin uses the Fixed Dominus Formidulosus mesh made by BelowNatural.
• The helmet that the Default skin uses between Level 2-4 is the Trojan Infantry Helmet from the Roblox catalog.
• Previously, the face used by the Slugger skin was the Fearless face from the Roblox catalog.
• The Level 0-1 weapon used by the Slugger skin is the Baseball Bat gear from the Roblox catalog.
  • The Level 2-4 baseball bats used are a re-textured version of it.
• The boombox on the back of the Level 5 Slugger skin is the Vibecaster Boombox accessory from the Roblox catalog.
  • The accessory was uploaded by BelowNatural over half a year after the Slugger skin was added to the game.
• The headset used by the level 5 Slugger skin is the Black Tactical Headset accessory from the Roblox Catalog.
• The Level 5 baseball cap used by the Slugger skin is the Baseball Cap with Lightning Design accessory from the Roblox catalog.
• The Level 2+ shades used by the Slugger skin are the Ice Cold Stunnas from the Roblox Catalog.
