Description

The Fallen Shield is a very large enemy that appears in Fallen mode. It has high health, shield health, 50% defense and a decent speed. It has stun immunity, making stunning towers only slow it down and preventing knockback towers from knocking it back and it cannot be frozen or chilled as it has freeze immunity. It is a boss enemy when it first spawns.

When it loses all of its shield health, the Fallen Shield will begin charging, increasing its speed temporarily, slowing down back to its regular speed after a few seconds.

The Fallen Shield can be spawned by the Awakened Fallen King with its Army of Chaos ability.

Appearance

The Fallen Shield wears dark teal and silver armor. This armor covers most of its body, with the exception of its left arm. This arm has blue skin with multiple bandages wrapped around it. It wields a massive shield in front of it and a mace to its side. When its ability activates, it changes stance and charges forward with particles trailing behind it. When it is defeated, it has a death animation where it tosses its shield, then falls over.

Strategy

  • High DPS towers, such as the Accelerator, Engineer and Turret are recommended to take this enemy down.
  • As the Fallen Shield is quite fast for its health, towers that slow down enemies, such as the Trapper, Electroshocker or Warden can be pretty useful here.
    • When it first spawns, the only way to slow it down is by stunning it, as its immunities prevent all other forms of stalling from affecting it.
    • It cannot be frozen or chilled by freezing towers, making them useless against it.
  • You can use defense dropping towers, such as the Pyromancer to decrease this enemy's defense.
    • Freezing towers cannot be used, as the Fallen Shield has freeze immunity.
