Description

The Fallen King is a boss in Hardcore mode and in the Sandbox exclusive Legacy Fallen mode. It was also formerly the final boss in the The Classic Event.

Although it moves somewhat slowly (during its Rage Mode, it moves much faster), it has an extreme amount of health and many abilities that can stun several towers and destroy units, making it one of the most difficult challenges in the game. Additionally, the Fallen King is a Boss enemy, making it immune to most forms of stalling and the Nuke's fallout damage. It stops moving when performing its Stomp, Rage Mode, Block and Summon abilities.

Appearance

The Fallen King appears to be a being of living stone as the boss appears to be entirely made of granite stone. It is much larger than most enemies that spawn before it, even larger than a normal-sized player. It wears a crown and cape akin to a king's attire, a sword in its scabbard and has a shield on its left hand, all made of stone as well. It has reflective black skin and radiates purple energy.

It is wearing full body armor, including purple boots, and appears to be faceless. However, it gains light blue eyes, a purple-red aura and emits red light upon Rage Mode. The armor has multiple light blue glowing parts, on its torso, armbands and kneepads.

This version of the Fallen King was nearly the same as the original version, except the sword it carried was a glowing purple sword with a purple crystal in the middle of it.

Strategy

  • High DPS towers like the Accelerator, Turret, Engineer and Ranger are recommended against the Fallen King.
    • The Ranger and Pursuit are immune to all stuns from the Fallen King's abilities, making them very useful against the Fallen King.
  • The Fallen King cannot be slowed down by the Toxic Gunner or confused by the Jester.
    • As it is a boss enemy, it cannot be frozen though it can still be slowed down through chillness by freezing towers, though it will be less effective.
    • Stunning towers like the Electroshocker can only slow it down instead of stunning it.
  • While the Fallen King performs its Block ability, it becomes immune to all sources of damage. It is immobile while the ability is active, as this is mainly to waste time or waste ability duration.
    • This can be used as a breathing point to manage your troops, but do not use abilities such as the Commander's Call to Arms while this ability is still active.
    • Units will pass through the Fallen King as it performs its Block ability.
    • The Fallen King will also briefly become immune to all attacks when Rage Mode is activated.
    • Sometimes, the Fallen King may use this ability early when most of the enemies are still alive, which gives your towers more time to attack the enemies that are in front of the Fallen King.
  • The Fallen King is accompanied by four Fallen Guardians. They are always in front of the Fallen King. They should be fought first since they are faster than the Fallen King.
  • Beware of the Fallen King's Stomp attack. This covers an enormous radius around the boss, stunning any ground troops caught in the radius.
    • Cliff towers and air-based towers, such as the Ranger and Pursuit are not affected by this attack.
    • You can use the Medic's ability to cleanse the stuns. The Medic itself is immune to all of the Fallen King's attacks.
    • The Stomp attack will instantly destroy most units caught in the shockwave, as it deals 500 damage to all units.

Trivia

  • The first version Fallen King's sword and shield are very similar to the Epic Golden Sword and Shield, and its crown is identical to the Korblox Ice Crown, both items from the Roblox catalog.
  • The Fallen King could be based on a phenomenon of a king losing his kingdom.
    • Fallen Kingdom by CaptainSparklez is a viral example of this.
    • It could also represent a sort of fallen or lost kingdom, given some of the enemy names that appeared earlier.
  • The Fallen King currently has the second most abilities out of any enemy in the game, tied with the Nuclear Fallen King, Awakened Fallen King, Void Reaver, Nuclear Monster and Molten Warlord. This record is beaten by the Ducky D00M that appears on D00M's Revenge.
  • The Fallen King was the only major boss of the three main gamemodes (Easy, Molten, Fallen) that was not in the game before the MEGA Update.
  • The Fallen King used to appear alongside the Molten Boss on the second version of the "You Lost" screen.
  • The cape used by the original Fallen King was a re-textured version of the Black Iron Cape accessory from the Roblox catalog.
  • This has the second highest shield health in the game, along with Frost Ravager.
  • A crewmate version of the original Fallen King can be seen on the Suspicious... badge and the April Fools 2021 thumbnail.
  • The Fallen King can be seen as a chess piece in the Chess Board map, representing the King chess piece.
  • The Fallen King is the first major boss to have a variation of itself, being the Nuclear Fallen King.
  • The Fallen King was originally leaked alongside the Frozen, Deep Freeze and Frost Hero. However, it was not released until the MEGA Update.
  • The Fallen King's stomp radius is actually larger than the Void Reaver's stomp radius despite being weaker.
  • Prior to the Overhaul Update, the Fallen King was one of the few enemies and the only boss to gain a shield. This shield reduced the damage dealt by most towers to 3.
  • The Logbook it drops only unlocks the entry for the modern version but not the legacy Fallen King.
