―Beginning of Wave 39 (Pre-Overhaul, Fallen)

Description

The Fallen Hero is a variant of the Fallen enemy that appears in Hardcore mode and in the Sandbox exclusive Legacy Fallen mode. It can be a threat to your defenses due to its high health and high defense of 50%, which decreases the damage dealt by most towers by about 33%, though due to damage dealt rounding up this is not always the case. It moves at an above average speed.

It can be spawned by the Fallen King and Void Reaver. It can be spawned by the Mystery Boss upon its death on Wave 38 onwards in Fallen mode and in Hardcore mode, wave 46 onwards. The Nuclear Fallen King also could spawn the Fallen Hero.

Appearance

The Fallen Hero has reflective black skin, dark blue granite armor and pants, and there are glowing purple parts on its shoulder-pads resembling skulls. It also wears a completely black reflective dominus.

Strategy

  • High DPS towers, such as the Ranger, Minigunner, Accelerator and Engineer are very useful against this.
    • Additionally, you can use Commander and DJ Booth to boost these towers' firerate and range, respectively.
  • Splash damage towers, such as the Pursuit, Mortar and Rocketeer can be useful against the Fallen Hero as it typically spawns in hordes.
    • Additionally, splash damage towers ignore defense, making them even more effective against it.
  • You can use towers like the Sledger, Electroshocker or Warden to slow this down.
    • Do note that the Fallen Hero's stun immunity makes stunning towers like the Electroshocker only slow it down instead of stopping it completely while knockback towers like the Brawler cannot knock it back.
    • Do also note that freezing towers and the Warden will only freeze or stun the Fallen Hero for a shorter amount of time due to its large size.
  • Defense dropping towers, such as the Pyromancer or Electroshocker, are very useful against the Fallen Hero due to its high defense.

Trivia

  • Because of the Mystery Boss, the Fallen Hero can appear before its first wave appearance in Fallen mode.
  • On the original Fallen mode icon, the Fallen Hero has a slightly different appearance. Its skull shoulder-pads are the The Riddling Skull accessory from the Roblox catalog, instead of the skull shoulder-pads it currently uses.
  • The Fallen Hero looks similar to the first version of the Guardian from Tower Battles.
  • Multiple Fallen Heroes can be seen as chess pieces in the Chess Board map, representing the Rook chess piece.
