Description

Ducky D00M (or Ducky Doom) was a major boss and the final enemy to appear in Eggy Island as part of the Spring 2020 Event. It appeared on wave 10 in easy mode and wave 15 in hard mode. Ducky D00M had 10,000 health in easy mode and 100,000 health in hard mode. It walked at an extremely slow speed, akin to the Raider Boss.

Even though Ducky D00M walked at a slow speed, it had two very powerful moves that could leave your towers immobilized. The Ground Pound ability involved Ducky D00M jumping up, doing a backflip and creating a large shockwave, stunning towers nearby. The Dual Miniguns ability involved Ducky D00M pulling out two miniguns from under its wings and shooting at towers in one direction. Any towers hit by the lasers from the miniguns would be stunned. Both of these moves disabled towers for about 20 seconds.

Appearance

Ducky D00M was a large black duck with mechanical legs. It was larger than the average enemy. Underneath both of its wings, it had orange four barreled miniguns. Ducky D00M had an orange beak with two teeth sticking out. It had red menacing eyes and red devil horns.

Strategy

Easy Mode

• The Minigunner is the only effective option against Ducky D00M.
  • The Commander will greatly help with defeating Ducky D00M.
• The Pyromancer cannot slow down Ducky D00M. Sell it when only Ducky D00M is left.

Hard Mode

• Minigunners, Turrets and Outlaws are all effective against Ducky D00M.
  • Having large amounts of Minigunners is a viable option as Ducky D00M stuns lots of towers at once.
    • If there is a large amount of Minigunners, it is likely that many will not be stunned after Ducky D00M uses its abilities.
• The Commander, DJ Booth and John are good support towers to bring against this boss to boost your towers.
• You can use the Medic's ability to cleanse all towers when stunned as the Medic is immune to all of Ducky D00M's attacks.
• The Pyromancer, Frost Blaster and Freezer (including the Freezer's Ice Age ability) are unable to slow down Ducky D00M.
  • However, you can use the Electroshocker to slow down Ducky D00M.
    • Interestingly, Ducky D00M is slowed down by 30%, not 15% experienced by other major bosses, like the Fallen King. This makes the Electroshocker quite an effective tower against this boss.

Trivia

• Ducky D00M was the first event boss with different health based on difficulty.
  • Other event bosses had variable health, like the Swordmaster and Raider Boss, based on the number of players in the game.
• Ducky D00M's Dual Miniguns attack was similar to the Templar's attack, except Ducky D00M used two miniguns instead of just one.
• This boss could be considered a merge between R2DA's Pumpkinator and Ducky bosses.
• Most of Ducky D00M's design was modelled from the Evil Duck, which in turn was based on the Rubber Duckie, both being Roblox accessories.
• A new version of Ducky D00M appears in D00M's Revenge, though it is controlled by the son of the Ducky D00M which came for revenge.
