Cursed Horror has been removed from the game as of the 20th of November 2024 as it was part of the Hexscape Event.
This page has been preserved for historical purposes.

Description

The Cursed Horror was a large, flying enemy that appeared in Containment as part of the Hexscape Event. It had a decent amount of health and a quite fast speed. Upon death, it would explode as an electric orb, creating a shockwave, stunning any tower for two seconds and damaging any unit caught from it by 100. It also had the Stun Immunity, Freeze Immunity and Burn Immunity.

Appearance

The Cursed Horror was a giant, flying beast with an exposed skull. It had a tail and what appeared to be hair. Its skull was grey and has yellow lights in its eyeholes.

Strategy

  • Due to its high health and fast speed, towers with flying detection and high DPS are recommended.
    • The Ranger is likely the best option, as it is immune to its stuns and has quite large range, allowing it to cover the entire map. Other towers like the Engineer or Golden Crook Boss can also be effective.
  • While it cannot collide with units due to it being a Flying enemy, it can still wreak havoc with its Spooking Flash, allowing it to deal damage to units on death, killing weaker units or weakening them.
    • This is especially bad for units which stay on the path, leading to them stacking up, like units from the Crook Boss or some from the Mercenary Base, as a Cursed Horror that flies above such groups of units can easily damage or even kill them all.
  • Because of its immunities, it cannot be frozen, knocked back, burned or chilled, while also only being slowed down by stuns.
    • As it is a Flying enemy, there are not many towers that can detect it, meaning a lot of them with some exceptions, like the Hallow Punk or Electroshocker, would not be able to target it even if it was not immune.

Update History

  • 30 October 2024 - v1.39.0

    • Bugfix: Poison and electric defense dropping now drops Cursed Horror's defense, though the Jester still cannot drop it.
