Description

Crash Course was an easy PVP map for the PVP Test.

Crash Course had the Enemies Beta modifier, which changed the appearance of some enemies, replaced some enemies with other enemies and changed stats of some enemies.

Design & Path

Crash Course was a large and unfinished city constructed out of various colorful parts. The buildings on the side contained orange parts, while the ground contains multiple blue or red tiles depending on which side of the map it is. The city contained multiple tall grey buildings. Around these buildings, there were multiple crates and barrels scattered around the map, colored grey or orange.

The path started and ended at portals. The map consisted of two large loops, connected by a straight path.

Interactive Map

Strategy

  • The map's loops can be extremely useful spots for most towers, as they allow for great coverage.
    • The Ace Pilot can be useful in these spots due to its circular path fitting the map's path layout quite well.
    • Towers with small range, such as the Sledger and Warden are especially useful in these spots.
  • Due to the map's compact nature and layout, it is recommended to place support towers such as DJ Booth and Commander at the center of the map, as they will be able to cover a great portion of the map's reliable area.
    • Furthermore, the center of the map offers decent cliff space for Rangers and Mortars, which is made better if you choose to place your support towers around the same region.

Trivia

  • The intermission lobby listed SorenDerg as one of the creators. However, they were not actually involved in creating this map and have not been active in the Tower Defense Simulator community since early 2023.
  • The map strongly resembles the unfinished developer texture style seen in incomplete projects, hence its name.
    • This means it is likely the successor of an unreleased 2021 PVP map, WIP City, which had very similar appearance.
  • Crash Course is the finished version of PVP_1.
