Cold Mist
Frost Invasion • Krampus Frosthold • Operation I.C.E
Sandbox Only Content

Cold Mist (Operation I.C.E) was previously removed from the game on the 15th of January 2025 as it was part of the Operation I.C.E Event, though it has been made available through the Sandbox mode.
It is not accessible anywhere else in the game, aside from in Sandbox Mode. This page will attempt to include information about both the version before removal and its re-added version.

Description

The Cold Mist was a Hidden enemy that appeared in the Operation I.C.E Event. Currently, it can only appear in Sandbox mode. As it is a Hidden enemy, it can only be targeted by towers with hidden detection. It has above average speed, being slower than the Snowy but faster than the Packed Ice. It also has quite high health.

Logbook Description

"Cold Mists haunt battlefields within the Frost Realm, feeding off fallen creatures' energy as they drift through the air on wisps of snow. Though they can phase through any being, although, living creatures touched by a Cold Mist will freeze from the inside out. Composed of extremely cold moisture, they appear almost invisible."

Appearance

The Cold Mist is a humanoid figure composed of dark blue cold moisture, which gives it its translucent body. It floats above the ground, having a wispy tail instead of legs, with its head pointing down toward the ground. It is measnt to wear a translucent dark blue chain with a lock, though it does not appear on its body.

Event Strategy

As this enemy only appears through Sandbox mode, no strategy section is made for its current version. Instead, a strategy section for the one that appeared without Sandbox mode in Outpost 32 is listed instead.

  • Because of its high health and it being a Hidden enemy, towers with hidden detection and decent DPS like the Golden Pyromancer, Golden Crook Boss, Accelerator or Golden Minigunner.
    • Later on the top path Level 5 Pursuit can also be used, though early on its high cost makes it unusable.
  • Some towers without hidden detection like the Electroshocker can indirectly damage the Cold Mist while other enemies are near it, though they should not be relied on for killing the Cold Mists.

Trivia

  • The Cold Mist is meant to wear a blue chain with a lock around its neck, just like its version from Krampus' Revenge Event, though it does not appear.
