Description

The Breaker4 is an enemy that appears on any map with Enemies Beta modifier active, and in Easy, Casual, Intermediate, Molten and Fallen modes. It has a decent amount of health, average speed and 35% defense. Upon death, it will spawn three Breaker3s which are invulnerable for a short period of time. These have less health and defense but are faster and can spawn one Breaker2 upon death, which in turn can spawn one Breaker upon death. This will create huge hordes of enemies, which can easily overwhelm unprepared players.

The Breaker4 can/could be spawned by the Mystery Summoner, Necromancer Boss and Void Reaver if the map has the Enemies Beta modifier. The Grave Digger also used to summon it in Easy mode on maps with the Enemies Beta modifier. Otherwise, all these enemies will spawn the Mystery Boss instead. The Breaker4 replaces the Mystery Boss in any map with the Enemies Beta modifier active.

The Breaker4 also appeared as part of The Classic Event.

The Breaker4 was replaced by the Png Bot4 in Headache Headquarters.

Appearance

The Breaker4 is a humanoid with a waist, lower arms and lower legs in its rig. Its torso, waist and legs are purple with a star pattern of varying sizes, orientations and colors of white, pink and dark magenta. Its arms and head are made out of light purple construction paper, with the front and back faces of each part being separate halves held together by small strips of tape. It has four small red humanoids sticking out of its right shoulder, chest, upper right leg and lower left leg, all of which represent the Breaker3.

It plays a low-pitched squeaking sound and emits small waves and purple confetti particles on death.

The legacy Breaker4 has a pastel magenta skin color. It has a dark magenta torso and legs with a plaid stitch mark pattern on them. It has a red humanoid on its chest, representing the Breaker3.

It plays a crumbling sound on death.

Strategy

  • The Breaker4 spawns three Breaker3s upon death. This can create large hordes of enemies, which can make the Breaker4 quite a dangerous enemy.
    • As these spawn in hordes, crowd control towers like the Gladiator, Mortar, Rocketeer, Jester with fire or poison bombs or the Executioner can be quite useful against them.
      • Towers with splash damage like the Mortar or Pursuit can also deal full damage to defense enemies, making them even more useful.
        • If you do not have any crowd control towers, setting some towers to Strongest targeting can massively help against the Breaker4 as it avoids the Breaker3's (and its subsequent children's) invulnerability frames, especially for fast firing towers like the Accelerator or Golden Minigunner.
    • They can be especially threatening in maps with the All Paths modifier, which increases the amount of them that spawns significantly.
    • High DPS towers are also recommended, supported by the DJ Booth and Commander.
  • Be aware that you do not earn any cash from damaging enemies that the Breaker4 spawns in every mode.
  • The enemies that spawn from the Breaker4 do not need to be killed for wave progression to occur.

Trivia

  • The Breaker4 has the most gamemode appearances, appearing in nine gamemodes total, alongside the Breaker, Breaker2, Breaker3 and Necromancer.
  • The functionality of this enemy is very similar to the Solar Shard, Lunar Shard and Dust from the Solar Eclipse Event.
  • The Commander improperly calls this enemy a Mystery Boss. This is due to the regular gamemode dialogue being unchanged for any of the maps that the Breaker4 appears in.
  • Curiously, the Breaker4's design features an extra Breaker3 figure, despite only spawning three of them with its ability.
