Description

The Boomer is a legacy enemy that appears in Legacy Fallen mode and Golden mode, both of which are only available through Sandbox mode. It has decently high health and walks at a rather slow speed. Upon death, it will explode into a bile bubble that stuns towers.

Appearance

The current version of the Boomer is a bloated enemy with a light green skin color and a green torso and darker green legs. It has a bloating stomach and its torso occasionally emits green particles. It is faceless and trudged when it walks.

The Enemies Beta version of the Boomer is a large humanoid with a waist in its rig. It has a green skin color and a crimson-brown torso, waist and legs. It has a bloated chest and stomach with tumors, which has a dark green explosive device strapped on it. The explosive has an orange caution symbol, red and blue wires and an antenna with a flashing red light on it.

The first version of the Boomer was a bloated enemy with a light green skin color and a green torso and darker green legs. It had a bloating stomach and its torso occasionally emitted green particles. It had a drooling zombie face and trudged when it walked. When it was first added, its walking animation had it flailing its arms around.

Strategy

  • When first encountering it, the Boomer does not pose as a serious threat as there are few enemies to take advantage of the Boomer's stun.
    • However, at later waves, the Boomer will be accompanied by many strong enemies that spawn behind it, like the Giant Boss and Summoner Boss.
    • The Boomer can also potentially spawn in hordes from Mystery Bosses, which may lead to many more towers getting stunned.
  • Killing the Boomer before it gets within range of your towers is the most ideal way to deal with Boomers. Keep in mind that it has quite a long stun time.
    • Placing your towers away from the path is a good way to avoid the Boomer's stun.
    • Long-range towers, such as the Turret are the best at keeping a distance away from the Boomer.
    • The Ranger and Pursuit can be very effective against the Boomer as they cannot be stunned.
      • The Engineer's sentries can also be useful, as the sentries cannot be stunned and the Boomer does not deal damage to units.
  • The DJ Booth allows towers to shoot the Boomer from further away, potentially defeating it before it blows up near your towers.
  • You can use the Medic's ability to cleanse towers of the Boomer's stun.
  • The Gladiator and Level 4 Warden can block the Boomer's stun.
    • This is ineffective if there are multiple Boomers, as there is a cooldown after blocking a stun where the Gladiator is unable to block stuns.
