Description
The Awakened Fallen King is a boss that appears in the Hidden Wave. It is the second and later third phase of the the Fallen King, it boasts significantly higher health than its first form and possesses more abilities.
The Awakened Fallen King has six abilities. Its first ability, Dramatic Entrance, only happens when the Awakened Fallen King first spawns. It will appear slightly in front of the entrance, dropping from the sky. This creates a shockwave upon landing, stunning any tower hit for 20 seconds and deals 200 damage to units. The second, Abominable Barrage, makes it slam its sword into the ground, which created multiple purple spikes that fall down from the sky, stunning towers for 5 seconds and dealing 100 damage to units. The third is Cataclysmic Cleavings, which makes it slash its sword three times, with the arc increasing until a full circle area on the last slash. Each slash will stun towers in its area for 6 seconds and deal damage to units. The fourth and fifth abilities, Army of Chaos and Undead Horde are both abilities that summon enemies, with the difference being the enemies it summons. Army of Chaos summons Fallen Giants with a 40% chance, Fallen Shields with a 20% chance and Fallen Heroes with a 40% chance, while Undead Army only summons ten Necrotic Skeletons with a 0.25 second delay between each one. Its sixth ability is Complete Awakening, which happens when the Awakened Fallen King has lost 400,000 of its health. It makes it throw away its shield and then do a stomp, stunning all towers hit for 4 seconds. After this ability, the Awakened Fallen King becomes faster, almost doubling its speed.
Appearance
The Awakened Fallen King wears metal armor, with a glowing purple shard-shaped core in the middle and a purple diamond in its waist. He also wears purple boots with small purple shards in the middle of each. Its neon purple right arm only has a shoulder pad, with the armor's "stripes" on the arm being neon pink. The left arm has a shoulder pad and large purple crystals. It wears a metal helmet on its head, which is broken on the left side of its face and reveals a crack in its left eye, both eyes also glowing purple. It wears a crown over the helmet, with the middle of the crown having a purple crystal, the sides having a few purple spikes and the top of the crown having large purple crystals. Compared to its original form, the crystals in the helmet and shoulders are taller and spikier in the awakened form.
It wields a large, glowing purple sword with a black handle in its right arm, with the tip of the sword being white and there being two spiky crystals on the sides near the handle. It also wields in its left hand a large metal shield with a glowing purple shard in the middle of it and three purple spikes on the sides.
The Awakened Fallen King has a spawn animation, glitching all the players' screens and smashing the ground, followed by a loud screech and a massive shockwave with purple lightning that stuns towers.
When defeated, the Awakened Fallen King will disintegrate in a purple beam of light and screech loudly.
Strategy
- Towers that deal high DPS, such as the Engineer, Turret, Ranger and Gatling Gun are highly recommended.
- Since the Hidden Wave grants all players $2,000,000, all towers can be upgraded to their maximum level.
- Due to Aggro enemies taking damage away from the Awakened Fallen King such as the Fallen Shield, moving towers may be required. Due to the high amount of cash granted at the start of the Hidden Wave this can easily be achieved.
- The Awakened Fallen King alongside the multiple other enemies that can stun like Fallen Honor Guard will be constantly using their abilities, which results in a large amount of towers being stunned for long periods of time.
- The Medic is therefore recommended.
- Placing down the Medic, upgrading it to Level 5, using its ability, selling it and replacing is a good way to keep towers un-stunned most of the time.
- It is still recommended to bring stun immune DPS towers, such as the Ranger and Gatling Gun.
- The Engineer will perform extremely well against the Awakened Fallen King due to the stunning abilities not having an effect on the War Machine Sentry when its bubble shield is activated. However, if the Engineer is not unstunned before another ability which can damage units is performed by the Awakened Fallen King, or another enemy like the Fallen Guardian, then the Engineer's effectiveness is dramatically reduced.
- The Accelerator and Golden Minigunner can be heavily affected by the amount of stuns performed due to it having to recharge.
- The Medic is therefore recommended.

Trivia
- The Awakened Fallen King is technically not a separate enemy, but instead, the second and later third phase for the Fallen King.
- Uniquely, unlike other such enemies like the Abomination, it does not change phases shortly after being defeated. It actually takes it multiple waves to appear.
- Additionally, multiple parts of the Hidden Wave, such as its wave structure, are also tied to the Fallen King enemy.
- An unused version of the Awakened Fallen King was depicted in the Error Buster badge, which was later used for the Fallen mode badge after the 2nd of August 2024.
- It was depicted with a similar appearance to the version of the legacy Fallen King currently used in Hardcore Mode, with purple accents and slightly altered features.
- As the Awakened Fallen King was not widely publicized, it was speculated that the Awakened Fallen King was cancelled.
- The Awakened Fallen King depicted on the game icon and renders has a large grin similar to Patient Zero, however the Awakened Fallen King lacks one in-game.
- The Awakened Fallen King's theme has past motifs from Phoqus' previous works. Distinct motifs include the intro of the legacy Hidden Wave, the second track used in the Hardcore Lobby, The Great Finale ambience, the original lose theme, the Void Reaver's current theme and the Plushie DJ Booth's theme.
- The Awakened Fallen King is the first naturally spawning enemy not to spawn at the start of the path.
- The Awakened Fallen King spawns slightly in front of the entrance.
- Enemies summoned by the Awakened Fallen King are called "Fallen King's _____" instead of "Awakened Fallen King's _____".
