Description

April fools 2025 was a modifier which randomized multiple parts of the game. It was active in Baseplate-L, Baseplate-W and in every match on the 1st of April 2025.

Effects

When activated, April fools 2025 randomized the game for April Fools 2025 Event. Enemies would have their animations break and certain parts of their body would receive a purple and black checkered texture, representing a lack of textures. They would also change their size and some of their sounds would have its pitch altered.

Trivia

• The image icon of this modifier is of the third version of the Level 0 Demoman with a McDonald's burger edited in where its grenade would be.
• The purple checkerboard texture appears to be based on the fallback texture that appears in most game engines.
  • This texture was first used by the game Half-Life 2 and has since been the standard for missing textures in the Source and Source 2 game engine.
