Description
Abyssal Trench is an underwater map that takes place under the sea. Since its addition to the game, this map has been remade several times.
Abyssal Trench has the Scuba Gear modifier, which adds scuba helmets onto every enemy and bubble particles when an enemy dies.
Design & Path
The current version of Abyssal Trench takes place at the bottom of the sea, on the seabed, giving it a blue tint. The underwater bed of sand is layered on by tall rocks and sandy dunes. There are a few naval mines dotted around the map. Some of the rocks form arches. There is an activity of life on the map including seaweed and coral. There is also a deep trench, where there appears to be a giant octopus lurking beneath the surface. Dolphins can also be seen in the trench, swimming in the water. Various shipwrecks and underwater mines can be seen on this map. A mermaid statue holding a trident can also be seen.
The path begins at the haunted shipwrecked ship. The path is initially a wooden bridge before transforming into a sandy path. It goes across the sand dunes, underneath a rocky arch. It then crosses a stone bridge over the trench where it reaches the other dune. It then ends at an underwater cave.
The second version of Abyssal Trench took place at the bottom of the sea, on the seabed. The underwater bed of sand was layered on by rocks and sandy dunes. Some of the rocks formed arches. The path began at the large shipwrecked ship. The path was initially a wooden bridge before transforming into a pebble path. It went across the sand dunes, underneath a rocky arch. It then crossed a wooden bridge over the trench where it reached the other dune. It then ended at an underwater cave.
The first version of Abyssal Trench took place at the bottom of the sea, on the seabed. The underwater bed of sand was layered on by rocks and sandy dunes. Some of the rocks formed arches. There were two main sane dunes which were elevated above the main seabed. There was an activity of life on the map including seaweed, coral, dolphins and fishes. There was also a deep trench, which spanned between the two sand dunes, where there appeared to be a giant octopus lurking beneath the surface. Various shipwrecks and underwater mines could be seen.

Strategy
- The majority of the turns on this map takes place near the arch. Most ground towers should be located there.
- Therefore, ground towers should be placed on the first dune, where the path goes underneath the rocky arch.
- Cliff towers can be placed on the arch, meaning it is quite a valuable spot. They can also be placed on several mounds.

Trivia
- On the first two versions of this map, on the top sail, there was a message saying "Rhythic was here", the creator of the map.
- On the first version of this map, there used to be five Robloxian figures spread around the map, including Rhythic at the wheel of the ship.
- There also used to be a SpongeBob SquarePants reference next to the main shipwreck, with a pineapple house next to what appears to be Patrick Star's house, in the first version of the map.
- Like many other maps that existed prior to the MEGA Update, this map was remade.
- However, unlike many other maps that were remade, Abyssal Trench retained a blocky style. The only changes were the aforementioned ones, the map being made darker and the path being slightly altered.
- This map was again later remade in the Overhaul Update.
- In the current version of the map near the ship, Khompell's avatar can be seen.
