The editor is back with another major update, this time it's the biggest yet! And of course, judging from the title, we have added mobile support and many many other features!
To get started, this is the new mobile UI:
A major change eh? It took a while. Editing tables is intrinsically always going to be worse on mobile, and there's nothing we can do about that. But we hope the mobile experience is as best as it can be, this took a lot of effort and honestly, I am glad how it turned out.
Also yes, it's a web app now, so you can save it on your homescreen, showing that sleek new logo.
Now, for the calculation system changer:
We know that it's a pain to create custom towers, with the limitations of the codebase, allowing custom towers to dynamically change their DPS or CE calculations is not possible or at least very hard. So we've decided to make a manual changer so that you can pick any formula for DPS you want! Like the image above, this has allowed Enforcer (courtesy of @Your nameless protagonist ^^) to correctly has its DPS displayed.
Lua Viewer:
The Lua Viewer mode is back and totally fixed up from Sneaky’s old Stats Editor—which was unfinished! It’s not gonna be a game changer or anything, but we brought it back out of respect for the original developer who started this project altogether. You may opt-in to use it from the settings menu.
And talking about the settings menu, look at our new UI for them!
Oh but that's not all, we've changed every modals in the editor. It's extremely sleek and modern now. We've also added features like automatic theming! Meaning, the site will use whatever theme your device's on, happy messing around at night :P
And now for the more smaller changes, we have keybinds!
The site now supports keyboard navigation, meaning you can well, navigate the site using only a keyboard! It's extremely convenient when used in tandem with the mouse, check it out by pressing F1!
We have a guide on this as well on our brand new documentation guide on the wiki! https://tds.fandom.com/wiki/Help:StatisticsEditor
And finally, performance.
The site is now generally faster, especially on our Database! Before this update, the browser's loading was around ~8 seconds long, it's now just ~3! A huge improvement of over 60%!
This post is getting extremely long, and even then, that's not all that this update has brought. There are A LOT more. So, maybe check the site out, eh?
